I voted 29-30c but if 27-30c had been available I would have chosen that.
Under 20c I feel cold, above 35c I feel hot.
So most of the time I`m comfortable with the temperature here.

Euro not currently in favour, very weak against the US $ also.

2 places I stayed at before wouldn`t let any delivery men past reception.
No issue with that, just their security policy.

9 years difference between me and the Thai lady I live with.
We`re both " middle aged", neither young nor old.
As I have friends both younger and older,, I don`t think age in itself is all that important.

Hi
I have used Hull several times( for non immigrant visa) and Birmingham once.
Both had a very speedy postal service. e.g post out on a Monday, receive passport back on a Wednesday.
They couldn`t really be any quicker.
I`ve also phoned both and found them very helpful.

No problems, I like Chang.
Export is nice, Draught is drinkable, Classic is petrol!
The Export seems OK, the only Chang beer I like.

I noticed it advertised on the local TV channel, only heard the 150 baht admission price.
At 500 baht, I`ll be giving it a miss.
That`s a big and unfair price difference.

Hardly ever use it, don`t like it.
April through June it sees a little use, set at 29 c.
Have several fans, usually 1or 2 being used at any one time.

Immodium is easily obtainable.
Valium not so, many pharmacies will not sell it and you might need to visit a Clinic to obtain it.

Ii made a visa in PNH (double) some time ago when things were tight but before the latest round of draconian measures were put in place.
There were two people incl myseld submitting 9am, two people picking up at 2pm
Why oh why do not people make their own visas, learn something about the process and limit their questions on messgae boards.
I organised my own visa when I went to Vientiane last year.
I`d rather pay an agent an extra $5 as has been reported to save myself 2 visits to a Consulate.
My time is worth considerably more, visiting Consulates is not my idea of enjoying life.

Pattaya off course, its nice and peaceful in my Moo Baan, yet only 10min drive down to a huge selection of good/cheap restaurants.
I can really relax here when I am home from overseas working off shore worldwide.
1-2 hour to the airport is very good for me as well.
Same, it`s nice and peaceful where I live in naklua whilst being easy to get around .

Hi
I`ll be heading to Phnom Penh next month, partly holiday but also to obtain a single entry tourist visa( I`m a British citizen).
I would prefer to use a visa agent rather than going to the Consulate twice.
A little confused : is it OK from a visa validity and legal point to use an agent? i.e. is there a requirement for me to go personally to the Consulate or not ?
Thanks.

Hi
Although not quite what you`ve asked, when I went I flew BKK to Udon Thani with Air Asia , cost was about 1800 baht each way but you could perhaps get cheaper, I booked late.( Took taxi Pattaya to BKK but could have gone by bus there)
Then bus to Vientiane, via Nong Khai You can get a bus Udon Thani to Vientiane but I believe you need a Laos visa to board.
I quite enjoyed doing it that way but did have spare time so didn`t rush.

Seems like you regard it as a positive experience which is good.
Time is on your side to try again in the future.
Good Luck

There was a travel feature on Chiang Saen on my local Thai TV channel a couple of nights ago.
It looked very nice, I had never heard of it.
How far is it roughly from either of Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai please?
Is there a bus from Chiang Mai?
Thanks

I had never realised it might cause offence until I glanced at the links in first post.
Incredible.

1/4 million baht a month on the 5 % return mentioned.
Spend some, save some.
Should be enough

Apart from Air Asia, does anyone else fly BKK-PP ?
Looking at a last minute flight there and Air Asia are very expensive.
Bangkok Airways but their price was higher than Air Asia on the dates I was looking at.

It`s not really important to me.
I describe England/Britain as the country of my birth, it is no more than that.
Overall and so far I prefer Thailand for living in.

Thanks for answers.
I`ve just bought an AIS air card, 7.2 Mbps black body, came with SIM and some pre loaded data, 1 GB I think, 1490 baht.
AIS customer service were helpful with a query I had on setting up.
Tried it out and seems to work OK, quite happy with it.
Thanks again
