  1. I just returned from immigration at Laksi. As always in my case, no TM30 needed. In and out in under 1h. I thought visa exempt extension can only be made at Laksi. Based on your feedback at CW, I'd recommend Laksi. Staff was friendly this time, including the document check 'chicks'. It's probably better to not show any TM30 and try without it first. Once they saw your screenshot, they insisted on a correct one.
  2. Thanks! I need to go this week. Earliest appointment available is mid May. I will just show up there and update here if a TM30 was really needed. I did it in the app but it's not a printout. I have never been asked for a TM30 ever (in 15 years).
  3. Hijacking this thread to ask if the extension for visa exempt in BKK is still to be done at IT Square Laksi? The most recent information I could find on the Bangkok Immigration website was the move to Laksi one year ago. Thanks!
  4. it's just a bug and still requires hotel + pcr. I just had it too for the next few months. A few minutes later it was not possible anymore.
  5. I guess this cold even work. However, I called the hotline today and they recommended the following scenario (also the only solution they could think of): Wait till new TP system is online, apply for it without hotel booking (obviously), complete the application, call the support hotline to expetide the process and receive the tP qr code quickly before departure. Still some luck needed, but I give this one a try. Thanks for the suggestions!
  6. Thanks for the suggestion, but i doubt that works because my booking which I need to upload to TP system indicates arrival date in May. Don't think applying for TP with arrival date in April would be successful. I will risk it with the new system going live April 29th and hopefully receive a TP within 35hours. If not, I will rebook the flight a few hours before scheduled departure...and pay the 10k thb.
  7. Same problem here. I booked my return flight to Thailand a month ago. It is on 30.4. and i will arrive in Thailand on 01..05. I was about to apply for Thailand Pass with the old conditions including a hotel booking with PCR test, but i can't even choose any date other than in April. This means there is only 1 way for me: apply for Thailand Pass with new regulations (no hotel and PCR) on 29.04. - if it really goes live then - and hope for approval of Thailand Pass within a few hours since my flight is at noon local time here on 30.04. What a nonsense! They should at least allow me to apply under the old regulations. Cheaper than rebooking my flight (10k thb fee).
  8. So every office (officer?) has different rules?! Situation at MTT in BKK seems to be different: it used to be 60 days from the day your visa/exempt expired, but you would receive an under consideration stamp and would have to come back after ~14 days (my experience mid last year), Then they changed to giving the full 60 days straight away again starting from the expiry date of your visa (my experience this month).
  9. I hope it's ok to use this thread to share my experience at BKK immigration (MTT counter K). In and out in 1h. Overall, it was smooth. But it was also my first covid extension with the new passport. I received the documents from the 'screener', then proceeded to see an immigration officer. There were 30-40 people in the room. Most were waiting for their passport. Only 7 were ahead of me in the queue. No words were spoken by the immigration officer except 'photo' (meaning "take your mask off, i take a photo of you") and 'wait there' (to receive my passport with the 60 days covid extension). Another 30min went by and I received my passport back with 60 days added on top of the previous expiry date. No letter from embassy needed, no outbound flight ticket, no tm30. But while I was filling out the documents, I heard the screener rejecting one guy. He couldn't even get the documents or get into the queue. He was sent away. Some were told by the SCREENER "you only get 7 days", "you only get 15 days", another one "you show flight ticket, why can you not leave thailand, when will you go, ..., you show proof of flight ticket...". I can't say anything about their visa status, # of previous extension and so on, though. The grumpy, old immigration officer shouted at a farang woman because apparently she had an education visa before but couldn't speak more than 3-4 words of Thai. She asked her several questions why her Thai was basically non-existent but in the end she received 60 days. Other were also told 'this is your last time' when they picked up their passport with the 60 days in it. The usual fearmongering...
  10. Works for me too. Glad I found this thread. Going to immigration next week. Noticed that there are no fees shown except for Extension of Visa at Muang Thong Thani which says 2,000 THB now.
