Thanks to Google Voice its easy for me to call US based customer support #'s. Rain Bird provides very good phone support and they confirmed that the following old style relay would do the trick. But, I probably should go for the solid state version @sometimewoodworker showed. PS: I just checked those solid state relays on AliExpress and it appears the minimum control voltage they require is 70V but Rain Bird controller supplies only 24V AC. I presume when the seller say "Input" they are referring to the voltage that would come from the irrigation controller.

I want to put a water heater under our kitchen sink but the available circuit doesn't have thick enough wires (so I've been told ). I think I read an old AN post saying that there are water heaters with small storage tanks intended for use with low amperage circuits. The AN search function is not being helpful. I don't think we would need more than 4-5 l of warm water at a time. Any one know of that type of heater?

What the denialists don't understand is that the O₂, N₂ and Ar (total = 99.96%) gases do not absorb much of the infra-red wavelengths outward bound from the Earth. So the existence of those gases has almost zero effect on the retention of heat from that IR radiation. One would not make much of an error by assuming the concentration of O₂, N₂ and Ar are zero when calculating the infra-red energy retained by the atmosphere. When the denialists use the percentages of atmospheric gases they use the relative mole fractions (percentage by number of molecules) which of course is about the poorest choice of measurement parameter in regards to effect on heat retention by the atmosphere.

I don't find it highly technical but then I have a pretty good grounding in the physical sciences. I think a significant percentage of people understand how a microwave works so they should understand how absorption of electromagnetic radiation by certain substances is part of the cause of climate change.

I have done several recent counter withdrawals using debit cards from my US brokerage accounts and a US bank at four different Bangkok bank branches in Chiang Mai. BKK bank don't charge any fee for that service. I always just have them deposit the funds into my savings account with them. I have asked at SCB and Kasikorn but they said they don't offer that service. Another poster said he had used a different Thai bank but I no longer remember which one. I think that bank charged a small fee. I've seen foreign transaction fees of up to 2.5% charged by the bank/institution that issued the debit cards. I've only used debit cards that charge no fee.

You presented a graph constructed from data gathered in USA and claimed it refuted what climatologists are claiming. USA makes up less than 2% of Earth's surface, so you should think of that data as localized data. The climate problem involves the entire planet and the <2% in USA is should not be construed as indicative of the global situation.

I need to soon close out my Can. RRSP and like everyone I hate paying taxes that I can avoid through optimal tax filing. It seems if I file using Section 217 the Canada Revenue Agency will evaluate both my regular tax filing and my Section 217 filing. Then they will use the filing method that costs me the least in taxes. Seems too good to be true. Anyone done their taxes under Section 217 and saved money?

I just finished setting up my UltraMobile PayGo online account and enabling WiFi calling/texting. I also set my password to a more secure sequence. I logged out and back in to check. Everything was fine so I logged out and then I went on to send a test SMS from my GV account to my new UM #. That worked fine. I went to login to UM again but I was rejected with this message: We're sorry Whoops! Something went wrong and we weren't able to fix it ourselves. Please try to log in again. Now UltraMobile won't let me log in unless I use a VPN connection to a US access point. Even with the VPN running, I still have to accept a 2FA code from them to login. Anyone else experience new security measure from UM?
