The last two days i finished my trip. Hua Hin to Bangkok which was a very cold and windy ride ending with my first accident involving my motorbike being in a collision with another vehicle ever. Partly my fault as lane splitting as everyone does in Bangkok, a car came up on my left side scratching her front wing and doors with my handlebar. Although she hit me she carried on which nearly had be dropping the bike, but the car on my right stopped me being able to fall.
I now have to wait to see what the bill will be. At least she thanked me for not riding off as Thai people do.

That evening I got totally wasted and lost my way so to speak.

I arrived back in Pattaya after a trip of 12,222 km over 90 days. Longer than planned due to waiting in Chiang Mai for my ribs to heal after the spill I had.

A great trip with a mix of small road and some track riding which was my plan. Seeing wonderful views and meeting up with new people and riding together on a few occasions was great too.

Time to start planning my next ride.

Today after watching a marvelous sunrise i rode to a remote village near the Burmese border, recommend by a friend Gary Sharpe, cheers mate! It was still quite far from the border but the track stops there.

On the way I stopped at Pranburi reservoir for a quick photo stop then a great ride up to Ban Pa Mak, the last 10 km or so were graded track or in places rough track.

I rode a long route of 276 km from Kanchanaburi to Hua Hin today to keep off boring main roads and see the countryside.

 My first stop was to take a few photos at a Rain Tree just outside Kanchanaburi.

Further into the dayone of the roads became track for about 8 km which was unexpected but fun to ride even fully loaded.

I’m really noticing the difference in the temperature compared to the north. It was very hot very early in my trip.

On leaving my hotel I had a puncture, front tyre this time.

After getting it fixed it was a straight forward ride to the view point with an off road track for the last 4 km. It was quite steep in places and mostly first gear for me.

I did go for a short wander down a track into Burma looking for photo opportunities but no luck as it was dense jungle. I did get some from the top though.

I stayed relativity local today. I found a small track that went down to the River Kwai near Prasat Muang Sing.

After taking a few snaps of the river I looked around the old temple for a while and returned to Kanchanaburi.

Today's ride from Tak to kanchanaburi was the usual boring ride until my rear tyre decided to explode nearly causing me to come off.
A Thai guy I flagged down helped me and after him riding to buy a tube (i had the front size tube) he then took the wheel to be inflated after my pump failed.
Great guy and repeatedly refused to take any money.
At a garage later on I decided to check the pressure and the machine suckered out all air ????
A staff member kindly helped me and I was on my way ????

First thing today I had my sprockets and chain changed. Checking when back at the hotel they had not tightened the locking nut, but at least ready to go.

It was a straight forward ride today from Mae Sariang to Tak. It’s a bit of a drag on the CT125, but still good views.

Today I changed my plan and chose to explore a road that vaguely follows a small river out of Mae Sariang to this point.

I continued riding until I came to the Salawin National Park entrance, a different one than I have used before and not marked on Google maps as far as I could see.

I was charged 220 baht for the bike and me but after being told the road was in good condition for nearly 40 km until it turns to track I decided to carry on.

The road had barriers to the side tracks along the way for some reason but not long into my ride I saw a track up to a small hill which would be a good photo point.

There was a farmer there and I asked him if I could go up, he replied yes and started telling me he had no fuel. I carry a spare liter so sorted him out and rode up to take photos.

As I was riding down a got tangled up in bailing wire that wrapped its self around the rear sprocket, chain and brakes. 15 minutes of cutting and pulling finally cleared it.

I carried on a while before deciding to return. A good idea as not long after my chain came off. And for some reason I had packed the spanners back in another bag that was not with me. This led to me riding slowly back hoping to find help.

Along the way I found two guys repairing a puncture and asked for their help. Unfortunately in their haste to help me they rounded the locking nuts. But eventually it was tightened as best it could be.

Being Sunday the motorbike shop here was shut so a new chain will wait until tomorrow.

At the hotel a Malaysian guy tried to help too, but a new chain is definitely needed.

Carrying on the route I was on it seems there are many tracks for  off road riders, maybe a way in avoiding to fee too.

I left Pai this morning heading west and then south for my next stop at Mae Sariang. A great ride of 270 km through the mountains. I have stopped here many times and enjoy this area.

Another great ride today, west along R1095 from Pai and north on R1226 to Ban Banjo.

From here I continued all the way to the Burmese border and onto Ban Pang Mapha.

On return i stopped at Wat Mai Lan that has views down into Burma. Leaving there I to a left up a track that went towards villages the are on the border or in no mans land hoping to get some photos/ But not far along there was an Army Base. From here I returned to Pai.

Today I rode the back road towards Wiang Haeng to see an ancient temple on the way Phrathat Mueang Noi.

This used to be more track than road, now it is concreted more than before.

There are good views along the route and it’s worth riding.
