Inmmigration's website for BKK says how to change a Tourist visa to a type O, but the only one likely to be a Volunteer Visa is a visa called a Type O Foundation Visa (number ten on the conversion list). Here is the link.

The Thi government website link below lists a Non-O Foundation Visa at number 10.. Is this what a 'Volunteer Visa' is called by immigration? Consider exploring the Volunteer Visa option. Many volunteer opportunities are long term. It allows you to get a work permit, and the digital nomad issue s irrelevant. Good luck. Ignore the many clamoring rude voices.

Could you either import the essays into ASEAN or reactive the link, please. I cannot see why you would do this, storage and hosting costs also considered. I am told even though we are in the same province that I cannot have my current visa and work permit transferred to the new job because of moving from a government school to a private school.. I also am being told I have to leave the country twice--once to get a tourist visa, and then the second time to get a non-b at the embassy. I am also being told that the US Embassy in Bangkok has to c4tify my diploma, and I must get my transcript translated and also certified by the embassy. The school is inexperienced and needs some help, as do I. I am lost as they are saying this is what immigration told them. HELP

I am looking for a simple way to spend the interim weeks. I am thinking Visa Run to Laos (in the Northeast now), then buying a second extension for tourist visa to convert to work visa and obtain a work permit. Any other options? I am stressed over this, so any suggestions are welcome.

Border run to Laos gives a 30 day visa, but may be expensive to change to a Non b teaching visa after a renewal and of course a forward flight . Any advice is appreciated, One bloke suggested for me to stay in Laos with a signed contract starting Nov 15 and then get it in Laos and come back.

So I take my new work permit, signed contract and school docs from the new employer and go to the nearest immigration office, with the termination letter, and pay for a new extension? Won't that create overstay? I

Is there a way to do it without leaving the country? Please advise as to options.

I know it is done in one day, but how, and what steps? Any help is appreciated.
