I agree that not caring about anybody's life makes my own life easier. Millions people die daily, why should I care more when they die in front of my eyes ?
Your probably the toughest bloke to ever post on TV.

Is he a danger for anyone on a motorbike ?
no ! he was a danger only for himself !
I think it's more important to stop all the idiot drunk drivers !
Motorbikes drivers mostly kill themselves, so who cares ?!
Yes, any FI speeding in and out of the traffic is a danger or don't you include motorbikes being risen on the roads as being traffic.
Do you think it'd affect you if he <deleted> Infront of your car and you ran over him and killed him?

Probably, but I don't have a problem with DHs that don't wear helmets and speeding in and out of the traffic getting pulled over and fined.

Just sth of the new Shell pump, Rawai side of the circle and had the pleasure of watching a speeding, no helmet wearing ginger with large headphones on get pulled over by a BIB on his scooter, thumbs up to the cop and sucked in to the ginger hope it was a big inconvenience.

Beechbums remarks/questions come across as a tourist or someone who has never left rawai in 20 years.
You are also not making much sense with your insulting remarks about Thai people and disparaging of west-coast living.
Why do you even want to live in Phuket if you feel so negative about the Thai people and place?
I've been living here since 96, you need to get out more.
I don't live in Rawai.
You are the epitome of why there's an ignore option.

Ok, I will try to help you understand Phuket better, and this can help the OP as well....
Why is Kamala the best beach town to live long-term OVERALL? If you have read the TV Phuket forum threads on a regular basis over the years, you would have surely noticed a theme that most reasonable people in-the-know pick Kamala as the best beach town OVERALL to live(except for those who have kids going to international schools in the far south).Convenience? Are you aware that Patong is a major global tourism hotspot? Kamala is only about 10 minutes drive to Patong. Kata is almost 30 minutes drive to Patong without traffic. Hence, If you are like the majority of tourists and locals who enjoy sampling the nightlife/shopping/restaurants in a global hotspot, Kamala is a much more convenient base vs Kata.
More beach amenities in Kamala? Well if you look at Kata now, you may notice that almost everything is closed and its like a ghost-town. Whereas if you look at Kamala now, almost everything is open and the large amount of locals are out and about as usual.
During normal times, Kata beach only has a couple of streetfood vendors and a single fenced-in large hotel spanning the entire length of the beach road. Kamala beach offers a large variety of streetfood/restaurants/bars/hotels at all different price ranges RIGHT ON THE BEACH, as well as the world famous Cafe Del Mar beach club. Many massage places on offer on the beach in Kamala as well. Kamala beach is so spacious and long that there are also plenty of places to find privacy, unlike the claustrophobic feeling one can get on small often-overcrowded beaches like Kata.
I’m here to help if there are more questions ????
Can only guess you're trying to be funny with "reasonable people in-the-know pick Kamala" because it actually highlights how not in the know you are.
If it takes you half an hour to get from Kata to Patong regardless of the season then a visit to central or Phuket town must be an overnight excursion for you.
Everyone wants to be in Kamala yet the beaches in Kata are overcrowded!
The common theme in your post is "contradiction".

Yes, kamala is considered by most to be the best beach town OVERALL.Kata is also inconveniently further from Patong. In addition, Kata beach has far fewer amenities compared to Kamala beach.
According to who?
Are you serious, what is at all inconvenient about not being next to patong?
What amenities does Kamala have that Kata doesn't?

Unfortunately the boss has since passed away.

Can anyone recommend a team of painters for an exterior house painting job?
Looking for a team that understands it's not normal to drip paint everywhere or paint over dirt!
House in Chalong.
Cheers in advance.

Rawai is fairly good place to reside on the relative cheap if you live in Phuket, have personal transportation, and have kids going to one of the international schools down there.
However, the only good beach near Rawai is Naiharn, and the Rawai “nightlife” is more of a local pub crowd and very spread out. One definitely needs a car/bike to get around in Rawai, and it is far from patong should you feel the need to try bangla road once or twice.
For tourists looking to have a “short getaway” in phuket, the west coach beach towns are were you want to always stay. Location location location as they say.
Kamala is the best best west coast beach town OVERALL, even during non-covid days...but now with covid, its really the only remaining logical choice for tourists, as it remains mostly open.
It's actually good that you consider NaiHarn the only nice beach here, the more that think that the better IMO...????

The road that connects Kata to Karon Beach has recently been resurfaced and the way they have left the drains make that part of the road completely unuseable.
