  1. Here we go again... I wonder what the cost is for the poor bar owners to suddenly be able to open (many of them needed to find new staff) then close again, then open again just to close again a week or so later.... In my head, this will be more of a disaster than to keep it closed.... I really feel for those affected of this.
  2. OK, here is some more info about the subject: I have Aetna insurance covering 1 million baht, and i am on a RETIREMENT visa. I called to Aetna to check if i need to upgrade to 3 mill baht for a renewal of my visa. They told me that the rule of 3 mill is not applying for those who already are here on a Non immigrant visa UNTIL 31st August 2022. So everyone that needs to renew before that date does not need the insurance. However after 31st August 2022, we need to check again if there is needed. Hope that gives somewhat a bit more clarifications than the article.
  3. They really do everything they can to make a sales pitch these days... .) And people are running to the stores....
  4. I find the local people in/around Chiang Mai to be of Thailands worst drivers genereally, and also the most raging ones. Even if its THEIR wrongdoings... Sad... I have been driving 20 years without any accident all over Thailand with both motorbike and car. Thats why i observe it in this way....
  5. I really feel bad, hearing things like this, and i guess there are a LOT of foreigners doing businesses in Thailand that has all the same problems. I totally understand that you tried to save it and "ride it out" by using your savings. Who would have thought that this was going on that long?? But to be honest... i really think there is NO end to this. I think the plan goes on until 2030... so my advice is, plan for something that can be a solution even when this is ongoing. Don`t go around waiting for it to stop... I wish you all the best of luck in the future!!
  6. Yeah... and WHO is to blame for this. The information coming from the government is so diffuse, that no one can interpret the meaning of it....
