  1. I believe those foreigners who work here are exempt.
  2. That chart is not the past year. Do you know how the halvening affects the btc cycle? It has 4 year cycles.
  3. ? So the ones that bought in 2020 at $5k were fools? Or the ones that bought in 2016 at $500 were fools? Or 20009 at $1 were fools? What on earth are you on about?
  4. Or 5x what it was 3 years ago. No one buys Bitcoin as a get rich in a year investment.
  5. My wife, and oldest child have Bitkub accounts that they can hold the Bitcoin I give them. My wife also opened a Maybank account but the stock she got has done nothing near what BTC has over the last 6.5 years.
  6. Indeed, like the pensioners living in a 3 bedroomed house with a swimming pool for $700 a month, when they couldn't get a shoebox home in the US/UK for that. Still, it's unfair that they have to pay 300 baht ever couple of years but the dude with a WP or Thais don't.
  7. People who live here are not tourists, but if they leave the country, they are.
  8. It's not free money, it's tax. I'd bet a Thai going to your home country has to pay tax, or a lot more than 300 baht on a visa.
  9. It should be at least 1000, which is still cheaper than if a Thai tourist goes to UK, USA, OZ, etc.
  10. How is Thailand regressing?
  11. Don't see why it's unfair. Homosexuality has never been seen as a mental illness here, the US is behind. It was illegal in the UK until recently, so Thailand is ahead of them too. When I taught at a Thai university, students were not really allowed out accepted if married.
  12. 60 years ago blacks couldn't vote in the USA in some states . Homosexuals couldn't marry until 5-10 years ago. Homosexuality was classed as a mental illness in the USA until 1974. It was in the DSM. Thailand is doing very well.
  13. Do you really want Thailand to be equal to the woke West?
  14. If you do ride a bike here, make sure you have extra bright headlights, and wear a helmet plus leather protection. I'm shocked to see tourists wearing no shirt and no helmet, not even a Covid mask.
  15. Tourists should never ride m/bikes here, it's a foolish thing to do. I even see pensioners in Hua Hin on m/bikes, just don't do it, do you have a death wish or what?
  16. Depends who you ask. Ask most Thais and young English teachers are more welcome, and respected. Ask Buriram Noi, she'll say the opposite.
