I'm just a bloke that likes travelling and meeting people. I enjoy visiting South East Asia for various reasons, including the fact I feel relatively safe there (except certain aspects of Thailand), your money goes further (not as far as it did though!), the people are mainly friendly (even when they're trying to rip you off), there are many interesting sites and fantastic scenery, it's geared up to tourism and therefore relatively easy for independent travellers. It's generally a pleasant and relaxed place to be, often only spoiled by some of the scuzzy tourists and sex-pats you come across.
