    To tip or not to tip?

    Thais dont Tip Thais, and i rarely do these days, they already think we are all walking ATMs as it is, these people have been spoilt from years gone by when the Exchange rates were very favourable, the only time i Tip is if i feel they deserve it thru genuine kindness, exceptional Service, or a very Horny Looking Waitress has served me and keeps giving me the Eye.    :biggrin:

    OP / People moan and complain on here, mostly Tongue in Cheek, its a bit of a Laugh, people like you get all upset about it because people in here are taking the Piss out of your beloved Thailand, what is posted in here on a Daily basis is not a true reflection of how people are feeling living here, and for you to make such a sweeping generalisation is ridiculous, and quite frankly if people live here and feel they want to complain then thats their business, who are you to criticise how they feel.

    Not sure how you envisage paying by credit card, people selling houses or real estate agents dont take credit cards. Even if you found a person that accepts credit cards (via a business maybe) they would certainly add the 2-3% fees to the amount you pay.

    OP, so the House will be in her Name, and you in reality are just giving her a Million Baht +, no wonder these Thai Women hunt in packs looking for gullible Falangs.  :biggrin:

    BTW, I'd suggest paying for legal advice to make sure your method of getting the money to your wife isn't going to cause problems in the future, with her appearing to be your illegal proxy.  Keep in mind that things change, and just because something works today, doesn't mean it won't bite you in the ass in a few years' time.

    From my observations, all too often accidents here occur because, when things go wrong, many Thai's first instinct is to hit the horn rather than brake or steer out of trouble.

    Westerners should be better trained in accident avoidance, also aware of the psychotic nature of many Thai males on the roads and avoid triggering their madness. I learnt that lesson early in my tenure here and my middle finger has remained sheathed ever since.

    Personally i just Fart in there general direction, that seems to do the Trick.
