  1. Folim...

Make sure the $10 is crisp...don't take pictures of guys with guns...

I wasn't forced to buy anything but as you cross bridge there is a little market to the right...I walked through, didnt buy anything...took a few pics of the locals and ate a local place after i walked market, turned North and once a main street head west and i came across this local food joint...then keep going west and a bit south and back to cross the bridge...all this is east of bridge looking N and you can do a counterclock wise loop from the market back to bridge...I did this in like a hour or 1.5 hrs.

  2. I'm sorry but " it messes up my hair " has to be the most pathetic excuse for not wearing a helmet there is. Especially coming from a bloke. :shock1:

It isn't a matter of choice as some tend to think, it is the law. You have to be a complete idiot not to wear one in my honest opinion ! :sorry:

....it was kinda a joke about the hair...I mean really a couple of you come across as a prick having zero sense of humor...

opinions are like a-holes, everyone has one...you seemed to be blessed with 2...congrats on that....

  3. I was here last year and frankly I hate wearing a helmet on my motorbike because I have semi-long hair and it f's it up...haha how vain I know but hey I have good hair;)I have been stopped 3 times and bought a helmet. Which isn't easy when you have a noggin my size. But I'm glad they are out enforcing the law because the roads seem WAY MORE dangerous than when I was here last year.Last night, the first time I hadn't wore the helmet but had it with me and I round a corner and there are cops everywhere (NE corner of mote heading S...very smooth Thai ploice)...again no ticket. This Thai cop was so cool and I explained to him I have been really good wearing it but every few day my head hurts because its just a bit too small...Anyway, when I got here a few weeks ago I was bummed because not once last year did I get pulled over...so in around about way the law is doing me a favor.

  4. Never never never never understand now/ NEVER use a subcontractor to mail any letter in Thailand.

I used a sub I think it was in the building of the McDonalds next to Burger King at Night B and I know the VA (veterans admin...in Seattle) got it no problem...

I don't have a name of the place but it is inside up the stairs, I think maybe a subway and many other shops...seems very legit because they were making sure I had US postal codes

But good to know anyway as I only sent one thing out of CM

  5. I have an apartment now...but I love The Imm Eco, now called Eco (stayed twice and just recently when I returned while I looked for an aprtment)....they have a website....they have a great pool and really good internet and it's not loud.

Now it isn't in the city center but it's cheap transportation and well I will always rent a motorbike...the place is pretty cool, free breakfast...not have both really small shared rooms or larger shared rooms (same price)...last time I had the larger one in the area called "dorms"...it not really a dorm...but I just paid the extra 150bhat so they wouldnt put anyone in my room. total about 500/night

this stay I stayed in the tiny rooms near the pool, and they never put anyone in my room so I got away with 350/night...room is fnice but very small with bunk...if i did it again I would take one one in the dorm area...2 beds but much larger, not bunk but more likely to put someone with you...the extra bed is nice to unload your stuff.

google Imm Eco Chiang Mai and you will find it, you can book on their site...it has very eco friendly many falong and the pool is Amazing and trust me internet is big to me as well and it is great...they have other properties but based on value this place is great...I suggest you rent a motorbike...good place 1/2 block from the La Meridian hotel near Night bazare...I pay 3k a month for a new scooter every month and get a new one each month...of course they will try to get as much as possible but they wont do you wrong

Trust me on the Imm Eco if you dont have to be in city center and really on a scotter its really close...make sure to use helmet, cops are busting falong all the time

I dont work for these places either

and if you like some western eye candy like me, the pool area has that too...but the pool is amazing

  7. I wasn't farting alot last week but I was seemingly pissing out my ass the second week here...haha

How about undercover farts? who traps their girl? my thai gf last year I dated 3 months and I may have herd her fart once on accident but she had no problem burping which I didnt care for while she would drive her car with me in it after we eat...I would have dumped her if she ripped one around me...

  8. OP: You are out of your mind....you know the term "dine and dash right" ?

a-holes (no pun intended) all over america, "fart and dash" in crouds and leave people hanging...you should try being in Husky Stadium or our indoor college basketball arena "HecEd in Seattle. People fart and and walk away and then Bam it hits up...like <deleted>...."it wasn'y me?"

When I smell a fart in America in a croud, I always say something loud like "wow, whoever did that should at least have the nads to claim it, I know I would"

anyway the silent ones are always the worst...farting is global...unless you are like my ex-gf in Seattle that insists she never farts.

  9. LOL..."not real money"....wink wink

If you cant find chips, you could use the local coins...be kinda fun and interesting....they have 10 bhah that look like us qrts, 5B coins look like nickles and 1 bhat that is like 3 us cents that look like a US dime... and even a more annoying coin than the 1 bhah is the 1/2 the ring ping store gives me from time to time....of course, you could all just do a bhah each coin buy in then once one guy has all the "chips/coins) you could all give each person their coins back...wink wink

sounds fun, except the not real money play part...lol...what fun is that?

  10. I just glanced at the topic....and didn't read the responses, however

IMO, http://www.kayak.com/ is the best search engine for flights and you can filter whatever...example, I just moved here from Seattle so I got a one way flight from Seattle to CM (change flight in South Korea)...I also purchased the tix like 6 days prior for $600...of course one way is more expensive and it always seems cheaper to get here than to leave but then again I never bought around trip tix to Thailand because I never know how long I will stay for sure.

again you can filter whatever, last time I left Thailand I made sure I had a top in Hawaii and my connecting flight was 70 days later...haha...I know nice right?

And no, I don't work for above link...they even have an app for my iphone

  11. I just brought my flat screen in the box I purchased it in a year ago and when I arrived at the CM airport 3 weeks ago they did ask me if it was new and I said no because it wasnt...the box was my extra bag and it didnt cost me a penny...or anything at the airport...thank God

Because I can't get the dam_n this to work right..I saw a couple ch's, very bad and sound on one so really wished I had left it at home or just sold it...I may just try connecting to my laptop for games I like to watch back is Seattle...since
