I hope you all are doing well. I am in need of some advice and would greatly appreciate your input.

My friend, Apple, is currently taking care of 14 rescued dogs in Thailand.

These dogs have been saved from the streets or abandoned by their previous owners.

Unfortunately, Apple is facing financial difficulties and is struggling to provide enough food for these dogs.

I am considering reaching out to dog food manufacturers like SmartHeart and others to ask for assistance, such as donations or discounts on dog food. However, I am not sure how to approach this or if there are other better options available.

Has anyone here had experience with a similar situation or have any advice on how to best proceed? Any tips on how to effectively communicate with these companies or alternative solutions would be incredibly helpful.

In future don't leave it to the last minute, your extension will start from the current permit to stay end date.

My 45-day visa exemption expires on April 15th. Today is the last day that the immigration office is open. Unfortunately, I am confined to bed due to the haze.

Will I encounter any issues if I attempt to extend my visa on April 18th when they reopen?

800 THB every year for keeping my money in their bank and 10-15 THB every time I make a withdrawal from an ATM not in the "free withdrawals" area... perhaps time to contact the RTP?

I've flown in with a return scheduled 6 months later. Occasionally the airline requires a return/onward ticket within a shorter time period. If that happens, I leave the counter, book a flight on Expedia where you have 24 hours to cancel for most flights(indicated when you select a flight), and return to the counter and proceed. After I'm through there and at the gate, I cancel the Expedia flight. No costs, no problem. And if immigration asks, you now have the canceled Expedia ticket to show. 

 

I do show up to the airport an hour earlier to allow enough time to do this if necessary.

Does Expedia still offer refundable tickets? For instance, is it possible to book a budget flight such as AirAsia on Expedia and obtain a refund, or are there specific airlines that provide refunds?

If you can find land well below market price, or better, at land office appraised price, then buy it.  7 of the last 8 lots we bought, were at land office appraised price.  Only the one across from our present house was not.

 

Same with the very first lot I bought, back in 2000, ฿50k for 1 rai, at land office appraised price, again, 16 kms outside Udon Thani, and not rice land, and didn't need backfill.

Do not assume lack of neighbors/privacy  makes the land valuable. Often the reverse is true in Thailand. Thais do not like to live far from other houses...and will consider far to be anything not in clear earshot.

Is there a way to Check the long term flood risk for an area in Thailand?
