Thanks Mighty Mouse
If anyone has more info on this and has some spare time, it would be nice to post it !

Sorry, I know I'm annoying, but I gotta ask if anyone could tell me what do they exactly say on that paper.
Are there many classes of Police Clearance Certificates ? Or only one ?
I have doubt because my wife used to have a police certificate 3 years ago and it clearly said "no criminal record". But they don't anymore with the new one.
Is it only us or it's the case for everyone ? Do they always only say "x is a person who is no danger to the peace, order and security of the state" or do they also mention "no criminal record"?
Many thank in advance and thanks Mighty Mouse for your assistance !

For myself, I'd really love to know what is the exact text on the certificate. My wife just got hers and it doesn't mention anything about "no criminal record", just that she "doesnt endanger the peace, order and security of the state"
Is that normal ?
Thanks in advance, I'm kindda worried.

Thank you lopburi !
The visa they'll give me in Penang, is it a 90-days O ? That means I have to go to Penang every 90 days right ?
Also, do I need to prove anything else there other than my wife's ID and the marriage certificate ?
Thank you so much again,
Charles

Hi,
Sorry if the question already has been asked...
I'm currently on a Non-Imm O-A 90 days single entry visa. My visa is up in August. I currently don't have the money to get the 1-year extension.
1- Would it be perfectly possible for me to do "O visa runs" ? Go out every 90 days to get a new O-A with my marriage papers ?
2- Where is the best place to do so ?
3- Is it a good place to do it in Hong Kong or Singapore ? I'd like to travel at the same time with my money (any experiences ?)
4- How long does it take to process the visa ?
5- How many times could I do this in a row ?
Thanks in advance !

Hi,
I'm looking for somewhere ( the best place, if possible) in BKK for movies and cinephiles like I am. I'm not talking about mainstream new movies, but classic movies in English, such as Stanley Kubrick's, masterpieces, classics, etc.
Anyone has good addresses ?
Thanks in adance !

As I said, the links are dead on the web-site.

Hi,
The website learningthai.com seems to offer many kind of fonts in Thai. Unfortunately, the fonts are mostly down right now (except for 2 packages). They don't seem to be on the server anymore.
I"m really looking for the JS (js_as.zip) and the DS series of thai fonts, but I can't find them anywhere else.
Anybody know how I could get them ?
Thanks in advance,
Amadeus

How much for Bangkok-Seattle roudn trip ?

Everybody, thank you very much for the very useful information.
Another question : if I have to apply for the visa in March, when do I have to transfer the money form oversea ? Is it ok if it is done in February or earlier ? How long can the bank make the transfer certificate after the money actually has been transfered ?
-
I heard it`s pretty hard to find something under 50`000 bahts nowadays...

paulfr, many thanks. I heard it's pretty hard to open a Bangkok Bank account if you're not working here. How did you do it ?

Hi,
I would like to know what are the cheapest fares we can get at the moment from Thailand to Canada (cities in the east : Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal). Which places to you recommend buying from in Bangkok ?

Hello,
I am a Canadian national currently teaching English in Thailand. I would like to have a job in IT this year. I already have a Degree in Computer Science and I've almost finish another degree in Software Engineering (still have one year left to do). I have 2 years of experience in the domain.
Most jobs requires Thai nationality. Where could I find a job in this domain ?
Please contact me by e-mail at [email protected]
Best regards,

Hi,
I have to renew my one-year marriage visa once again in April. Do I need a proof of money transfer from a bank ? Can I get that proof for the receiving Thai bank (Krung Thai) or I need to get the one in my home country (Canada) ? How can I get that paper at the Thai bank ?
Many thanks,
Amadeus

Hey,
I would like to know what is the best way and/or the best bank to transfer money in and out of Thailand without losing temendous amounts of money.
Also, where do you think is the best place to take out money from overseas from an ATM ? Which bank ?
Thanks a LOT in advance !

Hello,
I'm planning to renew my Marriage O-A visa next year. It expires on April 26th. When can I renew it ? 30, 60 days before ? Because I would like to travel to Japan during my wife's holidays in mid-April. However, if they are processing the visa request I cannot get out of the country. So could I start to ask it in Feb-or March ?
Secondly, about the proof of 400 000 bahts transfered to my Thai bank account... What kind of proof can I submit ? Do I have to ask my relatives in Canada to send by mail the actual proof or can I obtain it from Thailand ?
Finally, do the immigration periodically check the amount of money in your back account or only once.
Thank you and I'm looking forward to read your answer !

Just came back. Wow, what a sight, it REALLY is in the middle of a rice field. DEAD SERIOUS. I've actually filmed it, I'll post it later.
I went by motorcycle so it wasn't too far from home (I live next to Central Rattanathibet).
So the direction from Central Rattanatibet (or Nonthaburi Government Center)
1. Drive north on Rattanathibet Road, going to Bang Bua Thong.
2. You go straight for a while, maybe 10 km, past Phra Nang Klao Bridge.
3. At one point, you will see a sign indicating Carrefour (It's for Carrefour Bang Yai). If you look well there will also be a blue "Nonthaburi Immigration" sign warning you that you will have to turn left on the next overpass.
4. On the top of the very next overpass, you turn left, you'll go round until it brings you on a new main road (look like Bang Yai's main road). Go straight on it.
5. At one point (1-2km) you will see Carrefour. You still have to go straight.
6. Look VERY closely for a "Nonthaburi Immigration" blue sign in English under a tree. After it you have 2 choices : left is going to Nonthaburi Immigration, right is U-Turn. You take left.
7. You'll enter a very small soi. You will start seeing many rice field, buffalos, etc. Don't panic, you actually ARE going the right way !
8. After driving 3 km, you'll see the immigration blue sign (in THAI only !!!!!) telling you to turn left on a small soi, which you see to be a dead end with the immigration office.
Took me 15 minutes from home by motorcycle (going 110km/h). So your best bet otherwise : take a taxi from Nonthaburi and tell them to go to Carrefour Bang Yai and follow my instructions afterwards.
1 hour later : already back at the office by motorcycle, next to Central Chitlom, writing this out !
By the way thanks to henryalleman for the directions, would NEVER have made it out without them !
