Once you reach 70 it is almost impossible to get medical insurance in Thailand, unless you are willing to pay 500 USD a month minimum. Then you have exclusions and existing conditions so you virtually have no cover anyway.

Some of us think that people that go to bars regularly deserve to be ripped off.
Why? Obviously a non bar visitor.
Easy way is to sign the check each time you order and make sure the staff know you are doing that, then only pay for those that you sign, saves any arguments or nasty situations.

Who said he was a 'Farang'?

A great solution was proposed at meetings after the Tsunami but the powers that be knew better and refused to listen, good example of Thai management.

You say you have been 'done' before, maybe you should learn a lesson, don't drink and drive simple. You did, take your punishment.

Looks almost certainly to be a gas explosion. Could be LPG that is used to heat up the air for tumble driers and also water for washing.

I wrote to the office to ask if there was a solution and received this reply with several errors in grammar, including the use of 'correction' instead of 'collection' and a change of font along the way. A perfect indication of the level to which the UK has sunk.
If you are not available you can send your application and all supporting documents through the 3rd party for apply on your behalf. However, the responsibility to ensure completeness and correctness of all application documents remains with the applicant. Incomplete applications will not be accepted for processing
For correction passport you can authorize someone to collect on your behalf by provide a receipt document, your old passport and authority letter for collection. You can come on Monday-Friday at 09.00-15.00 hours. No need to book appointment.
Doesn't apply to Thailand although there is a 'company' offering to do it on your behalf and charging 5K Baht, not sure how legal this is.

These are nothing new, they have been around for a long time, and they are not as good as some people make out. I could give you many reasons for not using them, built in fire escapes are far better providing they have been designed correctly.

I think you find that no Thai Insurer offers this type of cover especially to foreigners. The few foreign insurance companies that are represented here all have age and location restrictions and the chance of finding one that can is extremely remote.

True is not satellite TV it is an Air Receiver, if you want real satellite then you have to install a very large dish receiver, you see them around and then decide which company to use, prices vary depending upon what services you require. There are many available on the internet but all cost money some a lot. RBOP gives you a good site to start with.

As of last night the Beer Garden is still there and open.

Zoe moving next Sonkran to a site near the flower market. Don't be surprised to see the vacated area as a large shopping mall.

They, the PWA, threatened to cut me off when I was seven days late paying a bill, cost me an extra 400 baht to prevent them disconnecting. Once I did have a bill for over 1,000 Baht which they came and pointed out to me that there might be a problem. When checking a leak was discovered in a pipe that could not normally be seen, a quick repair and no more large bills.

I think we have to assume we are talking about 3-phase, 4-wire, 220V L-N, 380V L-L. This is pretty much the same as the UK and Oz.
There are a few places in Thailand still using 3-phase, 3-wire, 220V L-L but these are now few and far between.
The nice thing about 3-phase, 4-wire is that it can be treated as if it is 3 single-phase supplies if you have no 3-phase appliances.
I agree but you have to know what you are doing, in the past had to rewire places where so called electricians messed it up. In UK now there are very strict rules in domestic premises having 3 phase, almost impossible to get approval.
-
Are you talking about a Thai 3 phase or a European 3 Phase. I have a Thai 3 phase which is three separate 220v supplies coming from the street to the distribution panel. A European system is 360 volt total and would very careful wiring. I have seen fires started by someone connecting two floors of a building, which were on separate phases, resulting in serious risk to persons from electric shock apart from the fire situation.

For small wins you take the ticket to a given vendor, may not be the one you bought the ticket from, and they give you cash after deducting the tax

When I sold mine in Chiang Mai it had Bangkok number plates, just handed over Blue Book which the buyer then took to the driving centre and changed owner. Nothing else need and no problem for either party.

I hope there's such a thing as the world's ugliest building awards - because this will win hands down.
Definitely. Where do they get the architects from?

To get a new 'blue'book you will have to go and have the VIN checked which is normally done at the local licensing office, although the ques can be long at times so be prepared for a long wait.
