  1. Is it possible to buy UK premium bonds using a Thai address (I'm from the UK, but living in Thailand)?
  2. Wise increased their fees for GBP to THB a few months back too; this is now another increase.
  3. With the certificate I got from Bangrak Vaccination Center, it has a QR code too, which also takes me directly to the Ministry of Public Health website and shows the 3 vaccinations I received. Could this be printed out and used?
  4. When I got my Booster shot at Bangrak they gave me a 'Thailand Certificate of Covid 19 Vaccination' ; a paper version. It has a QR code and is in both Thai and English. I would assume this is not sufficient then and that I would need one of those International Vaccination booklets Couchpotato refers too.
  5. With me I don't use, nor want to use, their Mor Prom app, therefore for International travel what else could I use to prove that I've been vaccinated (had my 2 first shots + booster here in Bangkok). Haven't left Thailand since early 2020, but would hope to be able to get a holiday out soon.
  6. Where is the best Guinness in Bangkok and at a very good price? ...... sorry, I know this is about Pattaya !!!
  7. Yes, it was the old Guinness stout, not the draught. And it used to be prescribed by a number of doctors, many years ago, to build up your iron levels. Used to know someone who had a bad motorbike accident and his doctor told him to take Guinness. Also some expectant mothers used to be told to take it too. Ah how times have changed.......
  8. I was in Hat Yai about 2 months ago and there were 2 different (small shops) I seen selling Guinness in the can. Small cans and not the draught in can. More than likely taken directly from Malaysia. The shops were just a couple of rows up from the railway station. Being Irish, it sure was good to see it there and I did buy a good few in one of the shops during my stay in Hat Yai.
  9. I'm a bit confused though, where it says about the UK State Pension: https://www.gov.uk/tax-uk-income-live-abroad When tax is not due or is already deducted Non-residents do not usually pay UK tax on: the State Pension
  10. Last Vaccination I got, which was my booster shot, was at the Bangrak Vaccination Center. Immediately after getting the vaccine they gave me a 'Thailand certificate of Covid 19 Vaccination' (a paper version), which also showed my previous 2 vaccine shots. Would this be sufficient for International travel, or would I still need something more?
  11. Don't worry, the new system doesn't ask for this information; its no longer required. It does show it blank though on the receipt.
  12. Has it dawned on them (though I very much doubt it)? Take for example a family, mother, father and 2 children in Malaysia or Cambodia or Laos or Myanmar. They wish to have a short holiday in Thailand and want to travel there by land, but that is going to cost them 1,200 BHT just to enter. With the introduction of this fee there will be a lot of people changing their plans and going elsewhere, or just holidaying in their own country.
  13. Yes, same with me. Big loss as I watch it every day.
