Transferwise can not send Thai baht out the country.
Is that right? How do people send money out of Thailand then?

After 5 years working in the Legal/Medical field at home, I wanted a break. I had some contacts over here, so thought I would spend a year recalibrating. 5 jobs, and 4 companies later, here I still am. As long as I am moving forward at a similar speed to what I would hope for at home, I will stay. As soon as I feel I am stagnating, or heavens forbid, sliding backwards, I will leave.

Sounds like she was either young and dumb, or perhaps she signed on to what seemed the like best deal at the time. She's hardly struggling now, and Nov 2020 is only 1 year away. So perhaps she would be better off focusing on making the most of those 12 months, instead of getting bogged down in a feud that doesn't seem to be doing her any favours.

I love these stories about bar girls. It's always about "a mate" ????

How a person's life has been is typically more to do with how much they have appreciated it, as opposed to how much they have achieved.

Probably the most interesting article that I've read in The Thaiger. Thanks for sharing ????

Chances of the Gov organising a truly international music festival with an A list headliner = 0.
It is possible that an a watered down version could eventuate, but even that I doubt.

That motorcycle taxi driver probably saved her life. Don't know how he managed to move so quickly having such massive balls of steel. ????

They should just paint over all the zebra crossings to avoid confusion. They are a danger to society.
(I can't believe I just wrote that. ????)

Another tragedy on Thai roads. R.I.P.
“We want to warn tourists that the main road through Khao Lak is wide and it is poorly lit. Please be careful when crossing the road,” he added.
Would it not be better to improve the said lighting, to make it safer for pedestrians, or is that asking too much ?
Agreed. Having said that, you can see street lights quite closely spaced all the way along the road.

The woman who turned up is an employee. The guy who didn't turn up is the boss.
So not only is he an arrogant sh*t bag, but he's also a low life coward. Is it just me, or does it seem like a disproportionate number of these guys seem to rise to the top?

I predict this delusion, and so many others currently being played out, become so grotesque that they can no longer be ignored for what they are. And people will then begin to question and discover the true nature of reality.
Yes, imagine if all this is a giant hoax and we try to make the world a cleaner better place for no good reason.

Nakhon Nayok, while quite a sensible location in many regards, would likely spell the end of Khao Yai and the National Park adjacent to it.

It's good to be presentable in my opinion. To not manscape is lazy and a bit nasty, not to mention rude if you expect your partner to put in the effort. I trim the hedge back significantly, but don't shave it all off. That is both time consuming and poses certain risks. The old back, crack, and sack wax is also unnecessary and too time consuming for me. Although if I was hirsute, I would likely make the effort.
I also have a full facial routine which I religiously follow. People notice if a person has good personal hygiene and makes an effort to take care of themselves and look presentable.

This is what you get when you combine incompetent big mouthed Officials together with an eager media who doesn't seem aware after all this time that their sources are incompetent big mouthed Officials. ????

Seems there escape wasn't as well thought out as originally thought. They obviously intended to cross into Cambodia, but would appear they had neither the time nor means to do so. #regrets

It's basically a 2nd Macau already, and is a haven for scammers and thieves. It'll be a nice launching point for Chinese mafia types to spread their influence around the region.

Yes, their venture into the South China Sea's Spratly Islands have done nothing but bring harmony, peace, and confidence to the region.

BMW have picked up their style game with the new X1 making it finally look like a very nice vehicle, and it will hold it's value better than the Q2 when it comes to resell.

I will be interested to see how much nicer (and much bigger( this renovated one is compared to the smaller ones at either end of the airport. The smaller ones are usually closer to my gate, and thus more convenient. There selection of food if often quite limited however, although that doesn't matter too much since we are fed shortly after takeoff anyway.

The time of small scale labour intensive farming is coming to an end. Either adapt, or perish. Prolonging the inevitable is expensive, and won't help the country in the long term.

I doubt it's getting worse. It's just getting harder to get away with.

Thai citizen visa for New Zealand

Yes, Thai's still need a visa. The speed with which it is processed depends a lot on the applicant and their background. I know someone who got their multiple entry visa in 5 working days. Cost has gone up to $246 now. Not the cheapest.
