  1. Hello, Where/what travel agency would you recommend in Bangkok to get a reservation for an airticket for the purpose of applying for a Schengen visa for a Thai national? So just a reservation for an airticket, not a booking (i.e. fully paid ticket)? Either in Sukhumvit area or Huay Kwang area. We plan to apply for a Schengen visa for my girlfriend and need to show an airticket reservation for that. Thanks for any advice.
  2. @TallGuyJohninBKK Thanks. I will only be in BKK for 4 weeks, so hope it can be done before I leave. Already planning and preparing as much as I can before leaving in a few weeks. But I understand we might have to shop around a bit.
  3. I also plan to get married my coming visit, meaning only at the amphur, or khet. Already made an advanced appointment at my embassy for my affidavit. My girlfriend told me that the Bangrak amphur is easy, in that one can walk in without appointment and get married, as long as you have all the required documents. She bases this on some Thai blogger who recently got married with her foreign boyfriend (this year). However, one the earlier post in this thread suggests otherwise. Anyone know which amphur/khet is easiest in or around Bangkok, meaning quickest? Or is it easier outside Bangkok? I also understand that you need a total of 2 witnesses, and if your witness can speak both English and Thai, there is no need for a separate interpreter. I understand that I need: - Affidavit to marry + certified copy of my passport (- to get the affidavit from the embassy I need a declaration of marital status from my homecountry municipality) - both these two documents then translated to Thai and legalized by Thai MfA - original passport - one witness She needs: - original passport - house registration book (she was never legally married before) Sounds about right?
  4. Thanks for the replies. I know about the official fund requirement, but I've never been asked to show any funds either, during all my past arrivals to Bangkok. Good to know there are not any other requirements. Thanks again!
  5. Hello all, What are the current entry requirements for Thailand, entering in April 2023 as a tourist from Europe, staying 28 days? Any specific requirements, or just hop on a plane and get a visa exampt (now back to 30 days) upon going through passport check? Thanks!
  6. Hmm...I don't have one. My flight out is on the 9th, but I have to stay longer. This is why I have to try and get a Covid extension. Once I have that, I can change my flight out. What are the odds they will ask for it? Maybe a "throw away" ticket to Singapore? ????
  7. Thanks. I would only need about two extra weeks, so if they give me 60 days, it doesn't matter much on what day those 60 days start.
  8. Thanks Ubonjoe and DrJack So basically I check the second box and all is fine and no questions asked: Will give that a try then. Already saw they open again on Monday 1st August. Another question: last time I was on 30th June, I used a taxi, but I saw that there is some BTS station right there at IT Square. Which station is that? Is it in operation? Dark Red Line? What BTS/MRT station does it connect to, coming on Sukhumvit Line from?
  9. Hi Ubonjoe, thanks. And the reason can be ..... anything? ???? I am just wondering because there isn't really a compelling Covid related reason for most applicants. They really don't check for that?
  10. As I might have to (again) extend my stay in Thailand (in connection with applying for passports for my kids) what is required to get the Covid extension at Laksi? Same as for an extension of stay on visa exempt entry? How much is the fee and where could I download the application form in advance? Are these extensions granted regardless/no questions asked? I am currently on an 30 day extension of stay on visa exempt entry. Many thanks!
  11. I did the extension at Laksi last 30th June. I brought the printout of online receipt of notification, but was not asked for it. Be sure to have copy of your passport ID page, and page of relevant entry stamp, and copy of TM6. And a passport-sized photo 4x6 cm. Also, download the TM7 Extension form (see attached) and have this already filled in when applying. Oddly enough I was asked to write down Thai phonenumber on the form. I got there somewhat early , just before 10.30 hrs, and got my passport back at about 11.45 hrs. Note that they take a lunch break from 12:00 to 13:00 hrs. TM7 Extension Form.pdf
  12. Update: I met the lady that actually owns this place and she kindly offered to just do the report online again on your mobile and took me through it. This time the details are correct. She will give me a screenshot of the receipt once received. She did tell me she only has access to the reports she's done and the receipts for 7 days. So at least I will have a correct screenshot to take to Laksi.
  13. Thanks for the advise. I think I will just try it first with what I do have, and hope they don't ask for TM 30, and otherwise show the screenshot.
  14. I did get a screenshot, but the problem is that the information is incorrect, namely my passport number is incorrect, as wel as my country and date of arrival. I am just concerned that especially the incorrect passport number (only the last digit is incorrect) will create a problem when doing the extension.
  15. I see, so I need to go to Laksi, thanks. Will I need a TM30 receipt?
  16. Yes that is the receipt I received a photo of. Not the form that I signed btw. Could I have the guy fill it in and then have it signed by nearby police station? What is local immigration office anyway? What distance from the immigration office makes it local? 5 KM? 10 KM?
  17. I don't think that guy does any online report. He fills in a paper form (he showed me) and hands it to the police officer that comes round everyday. He had me sign the form also the other day (which was a week after I arrived). There is also no computer at his counter btw. Anyway, if there is no receipt for it, then how can I obtain a copy of the TM30 receipt that everyone is talking about, and I apparently need to do an extension of visa exempt entry? My girlfriend went to ask the right person at her hotel, and he confirmed that they in fact note every arrival on a form, and every day a policeman comes to collect the form. The next day or so, they do get receipts back for each report, which is called "RECEIPT OF NOTIFICATION", signed by an immigration officer, with details of the hotel guest. But nowhere does it note "TM30". She send me a picture of one such receipt. We then asked if he could do a report for me, or me even staying there a night, and then giving me a copy of 'my' receipt. But he then got very anxious to know what I would do with a copy of such receipt and where exactly I would take it. When I said I would take it to Thai immigration, he got very concerned and very reluctant, saying they often had problems with immigration calling them about foreign guests. When I explained I needed it to do an extension, and that it was a common requirement, he said I should just go to my own embassy and get an extension ????, don't know where he got that from. Perhaps I should just try doing the extension without any TM30?
  18. My visa exempt entry stamp notes 10th July as end date. If I would go get an extension today, the end date would change to 10th July + 30 days = 9th August, would it not? But I could then still apply for Covid extension on, say, 23rd July? I went to ask the guy about the errors on the "TM 30" screenshot. He said it is the mistake of the person at Immigration doing the input in the computer system. He advised I should go to immigration at Meuang Thong Thani to have it rectified. He just did not grasp my idea that he could just do a new report, as if I had been gone for a week and checked in again (new arrival), or he just didn't want to do it. This all went down in Thai btw. Could this correction only be done at Meuang Thong Thani Immigration (or CW)? Or also somewhere else? Not just at a police station? MTT is actually further away for me than CW (which is also quite far away). I also asked my Thai girlfriend who works at a hotel, and she asked around, and said that there they only take the papers to report once a week or once a fortnight. So just checking in a hotel for one night to get a proper copy of TM 30 form, isn't a guaranteed solution if the hotel gets TM30 forms back after a week or so, if they get anything back at all.
  19. Was worth a try ???? Thanks for the advices. I'll ask the staff here if they can do a new one. Why would they still give Covid-19 extensions come August? Would one not need a good reason for that, for instance, Thailand is in lockdown, or your homecountry is in lockdown?
  20. Thanks. But I just noticed that the passport number is incorrect: they put a "Z" instead of a "2". Aside from the above: is it possible to get a 30-day extension on a 30-day extension of a visa exempt entry?
  21. Perhaps, but they will notice that the country is not the same as on my passport, which should be Netherlands, not Netherlands Antilles. Could they still obtain an actual TM30? Or should I try with this? Thanks and regards.
  22. Thanks Ubonjoe. So I take it that I cannot use this for extension of visa exempt entry, right?
