  1. Chrome kept giving me trouble, Microsoft Edge did the job for me
  2. quick update on the ThiaPass website; I used Microsoft Edge browser, Chrome kept giving me the API error, even after installing the CORS extension. I submitted screenshots of all original documents - to keep file sizes to a minimum (the website they wrote are pretty fragile) and got my ThaiPass QR code immediately, no waiting time, it did get sent to my spam mailbox, but I got it. **(for double dose of Pfizer in EU I just reuploaded the same certificate for both doses - I only got a vaccine certificate after my 2nd dose + separate screenshot with QR code)
  3. I have a similar flight booked for the end of this month. I'm flying Amsterdam to BKK to Samui. Bangkok Airways operates the BKK to Samui flight - it's one ticket, my understanding is that this is a sealed flight and stays sealed untill you reach the hotel hence the 500baht shakedown for private transfer from the airport to your hotel
  4. hey farang51, did you need to show bookings for your entire stay when applying for your METV?
  5. No evisa option for us. We can apply gor a 60 day TRV and extend with 30 in TH but still only gives us a 'certain' 3 month stay.
  6. Exactly the uncertainty of not being able to do a border run makes me think that I'll have to leave after 3 months, but if visa run by air is do able, that would be something to consider. Thanks @farang51
  7. Thanks ubonjoe, I also thought the STV would be the way to go, it's just the pre-booked accommodation proof that messes with our plan of spontaneously travelling around the country.
  8. Me and my wife are looking to come back to Thailand for 4 to 6 months (more likely 6 months) in December '21, winters in Poland don't do anyone good. We have been looking at the STV but we don't have a set plan for accommodation yet. Which visa would be the best option for us? Double entry tourist visa with border run used to be our go to option but looks like that's not an option atm. Any advices on how to get around the accommodation reservation or should this be planned out in advance? Happy to hear from the experts
  9. I'd like to add on to your thread, if you don't mind... I'm planning on visiting Thailand in December and also planning to stay for 3 to 6 months (the longer the better) as a tourist. What would be my best bet? STV? I guess border runs would still not be possible. Any advice would be appreciated
