  1. So the guy who stabbed someone, just found the knife lying in the street… hmm-ok then…
  2. Let me add that after the charity worker stated she was British, hussey continued her line of questioning and asked where she “was really from”…
  3. Saying “no where do you really come from?” isn’t a discussion, it’s racism in action.
  4. The charity worker made no false accusations.
  5. There was nothing innocent about asking “where are you really from” once the charity workers nationality was made clear.
  6. The charity worker was very clear that she was British so no idea what you are trying to say here.
  7. Publicity and self aggrandisement.
  8. So what? It has been accepted by all sides, no one has challenged it and hussey has reached out to the charity worker to apologise for her behaviour. It was a racist comment and no one has denied it was said.
  9. Kudos to her for offering to do so. I hope the charity worker is willing to accept this attempt at reconciliation.
  10. The charity worker told her she was British, that should have been the end of it. However hussey then asked ''where are you really from''. That was racism in action. How someone dresses is no-ones business but their own, Britain is a multi cultural society so there are going to be many British people who dress in different ways. They are still British and no-one has the right to deny them this status. How someone is named is nobodies business.
  11. No, if only she had accepted the fact the charity worker was British when she was told this was the case.
  12. Will it make us more “hard core”?
  13. So what? Why is that an issue for you?
  14. Dress how you like, drink what you like, call yourself whoever you want. I don’t care. Doesn’t change the fact that using the words “where are you really from?” is racism in action.
  15. Good for you. Doesn’t change the fact hussey acted in a racist manner. As to what you are, fact is I would be suspended if I said so.
  16. Wrong. She is British and said so. She is a British citizen by birth so she is from Britain. To not accept this and ask “where you really come from” is racism. Ethnicity does not define nationality. How anyone chooses to dress and the names they choose to go by have no bearing on nationality or where they are from. They are choices and have zero relevance to nationality nor do they dictate where they are from. The charity worker answered the question and that should have been it.
  17. Can’t counter the facts eh…poor you.
  18. She stated she was British, which she is, and that should have been the end of it. That it wasn’t was due to prejudicial attitudes regarding who should be allowed to answer such. The charity worker instigated nothing but was the one who suffered a line of questioning based on racist attitudes towards who can claim to be British. As to her speaking out on the incident, good. There should be no place for racism in society.
  19. As she is British, she did answer in the appropriate way.
  20. “No, where are you really from?” = racism.
  21. Yep, hussey was clearly unfit for purpose and we should all be grateful someone capable of such racist questioning of people about their nationality and refusing to accept answers because of their ethnicity has been removed from her post.
  22. The questioning continued once it was established the charity worker was British. “No where are you really from” was an indication of refusal to accept this fact and racist.
