  1. There was no report made to the police, only an online form completed for the passport office and subsequent phone call, however I could try uploading their email to me acknowledging the lost/cancelled passport. Thanks for the suggestion Tim.
  2. So do you think I should simply upload a blank page from the new passport, as skipping this step of the application isn't possible?
  3. Hi, I’ve reached the ‘Supporting Document’ stage of the online E-Visa process and not sure what to do regarding ‘Applicant is required to upload passport pages which contain all travel records for the past 1 year.’ My issue is that I lost my previous passport. I now have a nice new passport, however there’s not a single immigration stamp inside as it’s never been used, so I don’t have anything to upload. I’ve emailed the Thai embassy (London) and will also try phoning them but I'm not too sure it'll get me anywhere. Any suggestions very much appreciated.
  4. Give alcohol free beer a try. Plenty to chose from in the U.K. theses days. From what I've tried - admittedly limited - the wine's and spirits don't seem quite right but the beers mostly taste much like the 'real' thing. People laugh when I tell them it's the taste as much as the effects I miss if I'm not drinking alcohol, but I really do enjoy the taste, along with the association of drinking when socialising, watching sport, etc, so I find alcohol free beer a good compromise. I drink alcohol regularly, and have no plans to stop, but there's times when I'll substitute my usual beer with an alcohol free alternative, mainly for health reasons. Good luck.
  5. Hopefully I can find the answers to a couple of questions I have regarding registering a small business in Thailand. Firstly, when a business is registered, does the registration need to take place in the same provence the business will be operating in or can this be added or amended at a later date? Secondly, does a commercial address need to be given at the time of registration or can this also be added or amended at a later date? This would be a 100% Thai owned and operated business startup, based in either a residential or commercial property rental. Many thanks.
  6. My go-to was Lek Barber on Sukhumvit soi 23, just before soi Cowboy. Hard for them to mess up though as I'd only ever get a head shave. Good luck.
  7. Maybe try punching some of those fabric type names, etc into Lazada and Shopee. Also FB Marketplace as mentioned above. You could also try talking to the Indian-Thais (they can often speak English) around Prahurat as a starting point, or even your nearest tailor shop if in a touristy area. Good luck.
  8. Out of interest, what is the Isaan restaurant you found?
  9. I use TV Mucho. It suits my needs as I'm only really interested in the basic UK TV channels, plus a few extras such as Dave, BBC3, etc. There's no 'on demand' feature but there is a record function which allows you to select programmes to record then watch back at a time and date convenient to you. You can of course watch the channels live in realtime however the time difference between the UK and Thailand does often pose a bit of a problem. There are various packages available but I think I pay around £5/month.
  10. In August(?) 2022 a box of ten 50g pouches cost B1950 in duty free at Suvarnabhumi airport.
  11. Bare in mind that when applying, visa fees are non refundable. Good luck.
  12. According to Google Maps, Kan-Ari Swimming Pool is a 16 minute walk away (1.2 km).
  13. It would, in my opinion, be unlikely for him to have any problems doing what you outline. Bare in mind that when entering visa exempt, as your partner would be doing, it's likely he'll be asked for proof of onward travel (airplane ticket) out of Thailand within 30 days of arrival. This is required by the airline at checkin, not Thai immigration. It's possible to 'rent' a ticket online (onwardticket.com) to satisfy this requirement if needed. You could also buy a cheap, fully refundable ticket. Upon arrival it's also a requirement to be able to show immigration B10,000 in cash (or the equivalent amount in any other currency) as proof of funds for your stay, however this is very rarely asked for. Good luck.
  14. Hi Firstly, is it possible to move to an education visa (U.K. national, studying Thai language) from a 30 day extension? And secondly, if permitted, can this be done following a 30 day visa exempt entry and/or a 60 day single entry tourist visa? So: 30 day visa exempt + 30 day extension + ED visa 60 day tourist visa + 30 day extension + ED visa Many thanks.
