  1. Its a very good question since Germany, The U.K., Italy and France combined produce about Half of what comes from the States, you would think Big C would have them as there are french owned.

Looks like you might have to have an Easter Ham or Leg of lamb

Big C are French owned? Never were and the French partnerships will be all over by the end of this month.

Regardless, since when has any Thai-owned and operated supermarket catered for every foreign holiday beyond Christmas and to a lesser extent Thanksgiving?

What's Easter in Thailand? It's called Songkran.

INCORRECT! The French group called Casino is the largest shareholder and has been for years., just check the Big c website.

  3. Think it's been around 7-10 years. Never been in.

Couldn't be bothered to cross the road to go have a look.

A shopping mall in sex town, big deal. coffee1.gif

There used to be a big restaurant there, before they knocked it sown to build Avenue Mall. I think it was Vientienne, before it moved to near Big C. Always busy, with whistles blowing as the serving staff rushed to get to tables with the food. Ate there many times.

Yes i remember the restaurant and the whistling waiters.

    Happy times wai2.gif

Vientiane is still there its further down second road as you walk towards royal garden about at Soi 13/2, the Avenue complex used to nee a very large open air bar complex

  4. The place was fine until Central opened up, then began to loose quality tenants. Turning it into a premium outlet mall was also a failure as out let malls are for tourists and This location does not attract to many tourists shopping for clothes or shoes. To turn the place around and fill it up again management has to lower the rents so places can survive and unfortunately the shops that end up on the third floor will always have problems attracting customers. I personally believe that some time in the future it will either become another Mikes shopping mall or possibly it will be knocked down and rebuilt as some thing entirely new especially with the new mall being built at the Dolphin roundabout.

  5. Nigel is average and he uses to much Cortisone shots to mask the pain. The guy that the Orthopaedic Surgeon at Bangkok hospital recommends is across the road from Tony's gym on third road his name Is Nat.

He has sorted out 4 of my mates.

    Good hunting

Maybe he changed but I never had cortisone shots from him - it is a couple of years since I last needed to see him however.

    Does Nat speak English?

Nat, speaks great english and as all the proper education

  7. If it's a problem with the letters L and R, it would be better to wait until the child is 8 or 9. This is quite normal.

A speech therapist in Europe, told me this, many years ago.

    Good luck to you anyway!

    Mojo

All Thias have problems with L and R, don't they?

  8. Why would my foot usually get heavy after the Banglamung intersection? I respect the traffic rules, which means 90 Kph is the maximum speed on the whole stretch from Laem Chabang to Pattaya Sukhumvit.

Thanks for letting us know that you are the kind of driver who should be banned from public roads.

And why do you come to the conclusion that I am the driver that should be banned from public roads? Silly <deleted>

Someone who consider it normal that people drive 150 Kmh on that stretch of road, or any road for that matter, should be banned.

The fact that you don't realize that you are a danger to other road users makes you even more dangerous.

    Now throw another insult.

he never said 150 is normal it was a simple figure of speech and a good warning......Wow!
