  1. That was quick and efficient of Interpol. Now they can join the African community in the Bangkok Hilton.
  2. What a relief! In all their convoluted dealings in Ukraine we now know Joe "the big guy" Biden was squeaky clean and Hunter was Little Lord Fauntleroy.
  3. Vote buying it is and it has Thaksin's dirty fingerprints all over it.
  4. What about the "...statue of a xylophone player [with the xylophone]; made in wood..." mentioned in the OP? Are you now willing to settle for just the xylophone?
  5. If indeed the Chinese owner is subletting short-term to party animals, then lady, you ain't seen nothin' yet.
  6. Driving in Thailand is like participating in a Demolition Derby. Only the lucky or the crazy survive.
  7. That's wonderful. Let's hope it will be followed by condolences to to the families of Gazan non-combatants killed as well.
  8. Legend indeed... for all the wrong reasons. "Yet her career was full of historic moments, of which her Senate election was only one". It was the only one if you judge her by any standards other than those of the left-wing loons who have ruined her city, her state, and now hard at work on destroying her country.
  9. That's a distinct possibility. A more rational way would be to let states enact their own laws and regulations based on local sensibilities and conditions.
  10. No, Nana Screw and Nana Machine Parts are both nearby and have an excellent selection of quality tools but they don't discount prices unless there is a special promotion going on. The place I go to will come down in price - after some bargaining - to within a few hundred baht of Lazada and other online prices, even on big ticket items. That, combined with good repair and warranty service has made me a regular customer Lertwattana, located outside the moat at 24 Maneenoparat Rd., with a big red and white Makita sign on the roof.
  11. I've always loved the power and design of the Makita portable power tools I've bought here over the years. Be aware that prices vary and it certainly pays to shop around using Lazada or Shopee as a base price. The cheapest place I've found is located on Maneenoparat just before the Sripoom Corner and past the Army/Navy type stores facing the moat. Good luck finding what you want.
  12. Only by the dozen, and only if there is a good chance that it will lead to marriage.
  13. I'd go out and score some of the primo bud that is available everywhere now. Just put things in perspective. It could be worse... you could be in some farangland s***hole.
