  1. I got curious if it's really possible to get fined for "wandering about"
The Thai word they use is เตร็ดเตร่ this can mean "wandering" but in this context, and usually when related to a fine the correct translation would be "loitering"
I was not able to find the law, but some other sources were talking about this too, and it seems 1000thb is the maximum fine for this.
Let's see when the police gets the idea to fine people who sit at the beach [emoji6]

    'Loitering' or 'Lurking'?
  2. Food waste can be composted and in a tropical environment, decomposes very quickly. They just need to bury it in an appropriate spot.

These days in more (dare I say it) enlightened countries, food waste is increasingly handled by companies/municipalities to recycle in an appropriate way. eg, cooking oil is collected and recycled for use as fuel, food scraps/waste is collected for composting and used as fertiliser.
To do this you will need a cultural change. Not sure this can happen, perhaps it could be included in Prayut's latest idea to inculcate Thainess into the population . . .

  3. He should have done due diligence before he committed himself,
now he's a bit of a laughing stock, dont think he will have gotten his
    moneys worth.

    regards worgeordie

I presume you mean by "should have done due diligence" that he should have rejected her if she had done straight movies only. Seems that he would have tied the knot even quicker if he'd known more of her story . . .

  4. And  worse  still these  days many things simply  cant be said  without screams of racist bigot denier etc etc
I'd personally  take in anyone from any country who is prepared to work HARD  with zero ability to take any social security  until a minimum of 8 years is paid into any benefits system ,unfortunately many probably don't and go direct to benefits.

Unfortunately with the new world order, AI, robots etc, those squillions of good people you want to work just can't find a job.

very expensive watches, even though he straight faced said one belong to his
millionaire or billionaire friend. 555. He fibs so well. Have an excellent 2018
Rooster , it should at least be a dog gone good year
    Geezer

Maybe you mean "He fibs so much". In fact he fibs badly, not well - most people, even Thai people, don't believe the unbelievable.

  6. On the contrary, men outweigh women in China by over 15%.  It's men who have problems finding wives...but yes you are right about the one child policy.

The one child policy was an unbounded success. Look where China is now. Boss of the world. They were able to concentrate on lifting living standards and make money instead of wasting time and effort making babies.

  7. Hope he had the appropriate insurance, licence etc other wise expect to see another go fund me page . Another young life ruined by the ease of bike rental to anybody who has the baht but no experience on some of the deadliest roads in the world

Nothing much to do with the ease of rental. Mostly to do with the 'flush' of holidaying and leaving any common sense you may have had at home.

in such fiasco as Thai politicians often find themselves in...
beside, when you're an elected DPM and a general of this is that, the 'privacy'
train has left the station long time and few hinders of millions of baht ago....

    Elected? How and by whom?

  9.
France is not a good example. It is impossible to drive here anymore. There are automatic radars everywhere, and they are disposed mostly to make money.

I drove in several countries (included Thailand) and I never had an accident in my life. Here in France I see more and more limitations coming annoying my driving, taking my money, and making all my commuting taking longer. Road death tolls are listed around the 30th or 40th highest reason of death in this country only. But they became huge source of revenue for governments.

I'm not sure you want that in Thailand.

Not to worry, give it a few years and you won't have to drive at all, Mr Android will do the job for you.
