  1. Good question and very important. Decades ago in the Army one of the subjects we used to teach was "Methods of Instruction". When young NCOs were teaching their soldiers they were taught how to handle difficult questions. They should tell the soldiers that they, the NCO, did not know the answer but would find out and let them know at the next lesson. Most important to do exactly that, then everyone learns and respect is maintained.
  2. Prior to Covid it already was a "hub" for tourism. 15th most visited city in 2019 and those above Pattaya on the list are far larger cities and in some cases are whole islands or whole countries. Just go back to business as usual and prosperity will return. RANKED: the Most Visited Cities Around the World in 2019 (businessinsider.com)
  3. Well said. In fact the argument is even stronger than you say because the government has many savings that further reduce the cost to it. I'm no expert on this but my understanding is that many UK based pensioners receive benefits relating to housing, council tax, bus passes, winter warming and, of course, the big one, NHS health care etc. The least they could do is to give us The State Pension we earned.
  4. I would really like to see the statistics on this. Is it really us old guys with pre-existing conditions who cost the Thai health authorities big money or is it the young adventurous tourists on motorbikes, with no insurance, who cannot meet their hospital bills? This new policy offers a solution to the former but is that really the group that costs the money?
  5. So major events produce no cases at all. Restaurants are to blame for the outbreak and, at one location 25% of tests were positive. Now Mr Mayor, if you want to be believed, show us the real numbers.
