  1. On our last return trip from Singapore, duty free was a disappointment. Our wine purchase was 50 baht less than what could be purchased at Makro or Central. No 300% savings. Gotta pay for a soccer team somehow.
  2. I'm not even going to start. Let me go and compose an email on my Windows 95 machine as a rebuttal to his comments.
  3. I'd be asking this MP what he has/is doing about the yaba problem that is plaguing youth society, or underage drinking that has been featured by the numerous arrests made during nightclub raids. How about smoking cigarettes by our youth? Just going for cheap brownie points. Another upstanding politician indeed.
  4. Another cart in front of the horse. Without enforcement, totally ineffective. Pass the brown envelope please.....
  5. Let me smoke a tobacco cigarette and ponder the Dr's. reasoning on health concerns
  6. Talk about dropping a nuclear bomb on tourism! Duel pricing has already been a heated topic but for the most part is restricted to national parks and monuments. A swallowable bill in the guise that these areas can be better maintained and preserved. But hotels! Want to watch tourist numbers go flat! Let market forces dictate pricing. The basic economic model of supply and demand will see pricing go back to the state it was. If Thailand hopes to lure high quality tourists and shed its image as a cheap holiday destination it should focus its attention in getting the s*** out of the system. Start with Taxi mafias, police issuing b******* tickets and a behavioral modification to its tourist service industry employees to provide world-class service to foreign guests. Or just hand everybody walking off an aircraft a bag of Thai weed and all will be good man!
  7. As the country revolves Bangkok other areas will be hit harder. Phuket and it notorious taxi mafia and the insane pricing was a welcome sign to grab and other car sharing providers. Still not as cheap as Bangkok but far more in line. Hoping that the higher rates in Phuket is enough to keep these ride share providers in business.
  8. Yeah.....same thing happened to me at a high so restaurant in Phuket. Warned the waitress I have a allergy to all seafood. While everyone else dined I played it safe and ordered a chicken fried rice for myself. The cook took it upon himself that it was a good idea to throw a bunch of crab in.
  9. Government numbers are correct. However cases reported by individuals are non existent. So the reported covid numbers mean nothing. As they say in accounting garbage numbers in garbage numbers out.
  10. Meanwhile, Indonesia has been exporting for years. I'd be looking at cash crops that are in there infancy here in Asia. Air America is hiring.
  11. Welcome to flu season. I'd say those numbers are already here. I personally know 8 people right now through Rapid antigen test who are positive with covid and will not appear on any official numbers
