  1. A mate of mine had a similar bill. What was found his underground water tank float level broke and water continued to fill the tank, that water went straight out the overflow into the street which was hidden.

I have had a few floats replaced, the hinge/split-pin rusts letting the tank fill continually.

Now I only by the best/dearest float for my water tank.

Everyone who has an underground water tank should take note.

  2. You’ve got to put it in perspective.

90% of these incidents were due to incompetence.

People that shouldn't be in control of a vehicle.

The rest are just maniacs, that don’t understand they are in control of a lethal weapon, greed, selfishness, time mismanagement all play a role in this carnage.

I've driven here for 15 years, been driving in most of the 40 countries Ive visited.

Doesn't matter where on the planet you drive

BE AWARE, DON’T RUN LIGHTS, give yourself plenty of time, stay cool.

I know we are doomed, a small majority can act in this way.

    KEEP IT PROFESSIONAL

Per my previous post above and based on my past several years of dual UK passportry, your perception that the "British government hands out 2nd passports willy nllly" maybe isn't the case. The request letter needs to be the signed original in the mail and they contact the signatory of that letter. They also want to see a full color scan of the other, concurrent passport as part of the either passport renewal application.

I would suggest that British oil field workers having concurrent UK passports are comparatively rare but an Australian oil field worker having concurrent AU passports is more rare.

Yes, the biggest 48-page British one only has 42 usable pages. I recall reading that Australians can get a 60-page passport, is that correct? I also read that there is a 90-page UK passport exclusively for flight crew but haven't found any evidence of that being factual.

Not sure what the comment on the RE is relevant unless you missed in the OP that I called the retirement Extension an 'RE' to save typing it in long-hand every time. As explained, my 'first' passport has the RE and all the required supporting re-entry permits in it. The multiple re-entry permit costs the same whether one uses it 3 times or 6 times. I don't nickel and dime on getting single re-entry permits as I know I will be traveling a lot.

    Thanks

My British friends are very good mates, we drink together regularly when in town.

What you have described regarding having a second British passport issued is nothing like what my mates have described.

The request letter needs to be the signed original in the mail and they contact the signatory of that letter. They also want to see a full color scan of the other, concurrent passport as part of the either passport renewal application.

I assume the request letter is generated by the Employer/manager etc.

Most mates are on day rate (not on salary as I was required), not even a permanent job, one friend wasn’t employed and was issued a second passport – this is definitely WILLY NILLY.

    Yes, 64 page Aussie passport.

And yes RE require a re-entry permit which cost money.

As I said using your 2nd passport would avoid the cost of re-entry permits, therefore saving money.

I’m sure many choose this option to avoid permit costs.

  4. I have a CONCURRENT passport from Australia. This is not common, in fact rare.

The Australian government require a lot of information from your employer to allow Australian citizens to have a second passport.

I work offshore and have many friends with British passports,

I get the impression the British government hands out 2nd passports willy nllly.

I understand using a second passport for entry into Thailand.

    1.       Passports fill very quickly.

    2.       RE is not multiple entry, a cost saving if coming in on the 2nd passport.

Perhaps Immigration are getting fed up with all these Brits having 2 passports.

Actually, LOS is no more a "developing" country than Singapore is. It is a developed country where the money that should have been used for infrastructure has been "appropriated" for other purposes.

Developing countries don't build transport hubs like the new one at Bang Sue.

Mate, you got to get your facts right. Singapore is not a developing country, its classification is DEVELOPED.

I said easier to trade, not easier to open.

I opened an account in my own name, bought shares and then a few months later I got a phone call telling me a dividend payment was due but I wasn't eligible to receive it because I should of bought my shares on the foreigner book and not the thai book.

<deleted> he is riding a bike for 300 ks. It's not rocket science. Watch your back, stay as far left as possible and you'll be alright. The main issue will be sitting uncomfortable after a few hours. He won't have an issue with brakes overheating as Waves are manual. I wouldn't choose it as a leisure trip but is is definitely doable.

Post the bike for 300 kms? You serious?

The post could be from a 15yo child with little or no riding experience.

There have been comments on this post that have not been thought through.

    Poor feedback.

  8. Have you done a risk assessment?

    How old are you?

Have you ridden for distances in the past?

    What is your experience.

Your question cannot be answered with the information you’ve given.

Majority of accidents happen due to people’s incompetence.

What is your skillset, I think very low as outlined in your question.

Put the bike in a postal truck or one of the buses.

    Safe travels.

  9. I have lived in soi 6 Thepprasit for many years and been with 3BB when their basic package was 2mbps. Very happy with their service, now I have basic fibre optic package and can highly recommend. Best rates and best service.

check with the manager if there is a credit balance in the sinking fund . A healthy surplus is an indication of a well managed condo

    Not necessarily.

I have owned a condo for nearly 10 years, initially the developer gave a low maintenance fee  (20 baht/sq metre) which is unrealistic. Each and very annual meeting there are not enough co-owners to vote for an increase therefore the sinking fund has to be dipped into.

Yes this is not a solution but it works for now.
