  1. The British man was out to scam the driver as he climbed into the tuc tuc without any intention of buying anything for saving 50 baht. I would speculate the British man was out to make a story at the expense of the tuk tuk driver to make much more than 50 baht'
  2. Batteries can explode and cause a fire . How can that be considered bull<deleted>?
  3. I suspect the individual's that informed the woman in Taiwan on her husband's infidelity feel proud of themselves now. No winners from this sad story in my opinion. Speaks volumes on Thai values .
  4. I have experianced what you are talking about here in Thailand. Staff tend to be nice again when you give the place a miss for a while .
  5. Nothing much to protect as the tourist numbers are down big time anyway. A major problem for Chiang Mai tourism is that the air quality is sent around the world via the media.
  6. If you considered taking cash from tourists rather than going through the official procedures as an assault then that is happening every day , what are you smoking.
  7. I agree , the term millionaire is far from what it used to mean.
  8. If there is evidence of wrong doing by the policeman on video it will never be disclosed. Something irregular has occured for the two foreigners to act the way they did. We the public do not know the full story and may never will.
  9. The reason for wantng to stop the two foreign motorcyclists was speeding and not keeping to the left . The police would be able give out a ticket every second of every day if that rule were enforced. Obviously the two foreigners were being targeted for making hay.
  10. Not illegal in my opinion but of course high risk Many foreigners use that way you described and have no problems.
  11. If the company is trading then the foreigner controlled company is legal to own land. If the company is just set up for owning the land then that is illegal from my understanding of the law.
  12. We have had some reviews removed. Never considered suing. I am afraid that there are people that take joy in making trouble for others and reviews are a perfect tool for them.
  13. Often they are just thin air for good or bad reviews. Rediculous to think they are not.
  14. Google maps would be better off without reviews in my opinion.
  15. Most people that want to write bad about a business are not worth taking notice of. WE have received bad reviews by people that have never used our business. Any attempt to have the reviews removed has been futile.
  16. I have never understood what motivates a person to walk into a business one time and decide to send a damning report. If one is happy with the service then say so in your review. If you are not happy then do not return and forget the review. Google maps is a useful tool but the review option is not.
  17. The EC now wants to insult 14 million people.
  18. No drama for ordinary Thais either. There was recently much drama when a doctor was unfortunatly run over and killed at a pedestrian crossing.
  19. Australia does not give anything away even if you have paid for it. Just to help the confused , i am refering to the portability rules on pension points earned in Australia.
  20. I have seen that Australia has a similar problem as the UK has also. I saw that Norway has NOT a problem. On there lead up to there national day on the 17th of May the local people would them selves clean up any rubbish on the sides of roads. Thailand is not as bad as other countries. I pick up rubbish within around 200 meters of our house. Not a strain to do.
  21. No mention of if the children attending the illegal nursery had there visas in order. Parents sending there children to the nursery could be charged for aiding and abetting a crime.
