Bangkok tuk tuk driver and tailor shop scam British YouTuber
itsari replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
The British man was out to scam the driver as he climbed into the tuc tuc without any intention of buying anything for saving 50 baht. I would speculate the British man was out to make a story at the expense of the tuk tuk driver to make much more than 50 baht' -

Thai woman flies to Thailand from Taiwan to stab cheating husband
itsari replied to snoop1130's topic in Isaan News
I suspect the individual's that informed the woman in Taiwan on her husband's infidelity feel proud of themselves now. No winners from this sad story in my opinion. Speaks volumes on Thai values . -
I have experianced what you are talking about here in Thailand. Staff tend to be nice again when you give the place a miss for a while .

Srettha will not declare Chiang Mai a disaster zone to protect tourism
itsari replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
Nothing much to protect as the tourist numbers are down big time anyway. A major problem for Chiang Mai tourism is that the air quality is sent around the world via the media. -

Not illegal in my opinion but of course high risk Many foreigners use that way you described and have no problems. -

If the company is trading then the foreigner controlled company is legal to own land. If the company is just set up for owning the land then that is illegal from my understanding of the law. -
We have had some reviews removed. Never considered suing. I am afraid that there are people that take joy in making trouble for others and reviews are a perfect tool for them.
-
Often they are just thin air for good or bad reviews. Rediculous to think they are not.
-
Google maps would be better off without reviews in my opinion.
-
Most people that want to write bad about a business are not worth taking notice of. WE have received bad reviews by people that have never used our business. Any attempt to have the reviews removed has been futile.
-
I have never understood what motivates a person to walk into a business one time and decide to send a damning report. If one is happy with the service then say so in your review. If you are not happy then do not return and forget the review. Google maps is a useful tool but the review option is not.

Why is there so much trash on the grass verges in Hua Hin
itsari replied to ThaiPauly's topic in Hua Hin and Cha-Am
I have seen that Australia has a similar problem as the UK has also. I saw that Norway has NOT a problem. On there lead up to there national day on the 17th of May the local people would them selves clean up any rubbish on the sides of roads. Thailand is not as bad as other countries. I pick up rubbish within around 200 meters of our house. Not a strain to do.
