Regardless of what country I have been in the only problem I have experienced whilst paying with cash has been insufficient change in a till which has been quickly rectified.
Digital payments? At best, just as quick as paying with cash but that rarely occurs. I have lost count of the times when a customer in front of me has a problem with their phone, not enough credit in their bank and the worst is when they produce a fist full of 'money off' vouchers and a 26 baht digital refund is required.
Digital currency, a hackers dream, and they can spend your hard earned anonymously in the dark web, trying to recover money from the banks in the UK is relatively easy if your card has been cloned but here? Not the banks fault, you need to take the matter up with the atm manufacturer etc.
Best of luck with the money of the future but for me, if I cant see it, I can't count it, I ain't interested.

A big seminar was arranged in Phuket called the Tourism Safety and Security Conference, rather ironic as a building in Phuket with 30 rooms for rent collapsed yesterday ????????

Imagine a very large country not far away sending its military and missiles here in a 'special military operation' and the majority of other countries do not condemn the action.
Thailand, money number one.

You beat me to it, I was going to say exactly the same ????????
Smashed all the windows and destroyed the computers, it was completely unintentional as I was trying to swat a mosquito.
3rd world and always will be.

So why is it so f in difficult for a photo of the correctly and incorrectly printed 20 baht notes to be shown in this article? Or is that beyond the capability of the editors.

It's part of his cunning plan, drop the Baht to dollar, purchase those much needed F-35 fighters and a few high end time pieces from the Waterbury Clock Company and pay in Baht then over inflate the price of the Baht again, as long as it doesn't go pop who's going to notice ????????

An iron bar was used to prize its jaws open? Should have been used repeatedly to fracture its skull in multiple places, negates the bill to have it put down.

...because the traditional definition of electrocution was death by electric shock. I'm guessing that like many words, the definition has evolved over time. For me, I would still read electrocution as involving a death.
Death by electrocution, notice the word 'death' precedes the word 'electrocution'. They were electrocuted not death by electrocuted. ????????

On the other hand it has brought in massive tourist dollars to the area. Surely enough money to replant a few native trees anyway.

I watched a news article yesterday regarding the flooding in Bangkok, 50% of the flood water pumps had ceased functioning, maybe an understanding of preventative maintenance would not go a miss but that would require a competent work force.

A long sentence followed by deportation seems appropriate.
A short sentence followed by decapitation would be far more appropriate.

When "cities" were built, they didn't have paved roads and
trains and electricity and skyscrapers and they didn't need to commuteto work and didn't have global commerce.
A flood did not do as much damage as it does today.
It did as much damage then as it does today or was getting your house washed away different years ago?
