Well he won't get it delivered by girls in bikinis. All the beach people will give you a menu and take your order. A guy on a motorbike will then get your order from a local restaurant that they deal with. He will bring it back and they will serve to you. Nothing is cooked on the beach itself. I recommend Jomtien or even better Koh Larn in the week.

Have you never heard of a Turkey Crown?

Waste of money. We bought one 2 years ago and have used it on only a few occasions. They simply do not cool the room, fan is just as good.

"Big Joke" on leave from govt service to rest with family in UK
jimn replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yes typo error missed out the word visa. The article implies he is visting the UK at short notice. Agree on the second part about he possibly could already have a long term visa. I agree a UK visa not that hard to get as my wife has had 3 x 1 year, a 5 year and now a 10 year visa. Many people would disagree however. -

"Big Joke" on leave from govt service to rest with family in UK

No way he could get a UK in this short timescale. If he really is going to the UK it must have been planned weeks ago. -
Exactly I have been doing this for years. Same with the water and 3BB Internet.

Transfer of Reentry Permit stamp DMK
jimn replied to DrJack54's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
But it's a not an issue question isn't it? And no I do not know the answer. You sometimes give some good advice albeit with a questionable bedside manner. I don't know why you don't wish to do as I suggested, it's simple and certainly not worth a thread on here. -
Transfer of Reentry Permit stamp DMK
jimn replied to DrJack54's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I am surprised that someone like you are confused. Travel with both passports and they will then stamp you in according to your extension date in the new passport. I am assuming that you have a single re entry, therefore in this case it will be marked used. You then visit where you did your extension at your leisure to change stamp to new passport. If its a multi re entry just travel with 2 passports until your extension is due. Sounds like a non issue to me. -

Immigration Collaborates with Airlines to Enhance Passenger Experience
jimn replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
There has to be a better way. For example on exit from the UK no one passes through an immigration desk. Whilst I have always wondered how overstayed are checked, it must satisfy the requirements of the UK immigration. -
Have a look at your expiry dates of passport and extension. It may work out that you can work around them. You can renew your extension 30 - 45 days early at most offices. It may work out for you to renew your passport early by post and then renew your extension after you get the new passport. All you then need is a re entry permit to protect your extension date. Surely this will be a better way to proceed rather than losing your extension and starting again.

Schengen Visa point of entry Spain
jimn replied to Negita43's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
Excellent thank you -
Many people say "get it at the airport its easy". Well that may be so, but this is exactly the reason why I never do or advise others to do. It's not worth the worry, get it before at immigration.

Schengen Visa point of entry Spain
jimn replied to Negita43's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
That's worth knowing. May I ask what Schengen country issued this please. I havnt visited a Schengen country since the freedom of movement for family members ceased, this information would be good to know. -
So many different responses some vaguely correct most wrong. No one knows when the water throwing will start however in some of the Pattaya bar soi's it will start as early as the 10th April. It will then continue until the big day in Pattaya which is always the 19th, I don't know where someone got the 20th from. There is also a small continuation in Bang Suary on the 20th and that's it.

Tinder for Old Guys: Any Old Guys here posted on Tinder?
jimn replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
As one of the major wind up merchants on here I am surprised you are still allowed to post. Tinder is just like Thai Friendly, a place for anyone of any age to find sex, that's it. -
Yuk can't think of anything worse. The drug stinks and I can't wait until the Thais do a u turn and ban it again.
