Where did you get your Non O multi entry. It couldnt have been the UK as only single entry is issued.

Nothing to do with the USD its simply the regained strength of the baht which is stronger against the USD, Euro and the pound amoungst other currencies.

Thank you Ubonjoe, If I change my visa base on retirement for one base on Marriage, will it be better? I am 70, the one year Insurance will cost $700...
Thank you
As UJ has said. Just use family ie Spouse as the reason to get your COE. I am on an extension of stay based on retirement and use the spouse option to get my COE. No 40k/400k insurance required only the $100k Covid insurance.

Sorry I dont believe you applied for a Non OA in the first place. Its almost unbelievable that you went through the whole COE process and obtained the correct OA insurance if you had a Non O issued. The rules are completely different. In fact almost everyone checks their entry stamp. The sheer ignorance here astonishes me.

Start it as soon as you have everything ready. Flight, ASQ booking insurance. I applied for mine a month before, it can be 2 months if you have everything.

OP, you may might keep an eye on the situation in reverse.
Labor Party for example urging borders with Thailand to be closed.
Reported in Taiger and other news sources.
That report was about 4 weeks ago. Also it was not saying borders should be closed, just suggesting Thailand should be added to the UK Red list. Since then there has been a further UK review and Thailand stayed Amber.

Any one of the existing ones that will suit: retirement, study, elite, work, monkhood, taking care of a family member, ..
They are not visa's. Retirement and family member are extensions of stay, not Visa's. Not sure about the others, as far as I know you only get a visa outside Thailand.

What "proper visa" do you suggest.
Lol great comment, I bet he thinks you can just get a visa here in Thailand just like that.

No vaccine is required but then you would have to enter quarantine. When they allow travel to the UK from Amber list countries then you would require to be fully vaccinated to avoid quarantine. The Chinese vaccine is excluded for entry in to the EU and I cannot find any info anywhere that it is OK for entry in to the UK
Its only a proposal by the media at this stage. Nothing been announced

I hope you know what the requirements are to enter the UK. You also need to book online and pay for 2 Covid tests on day 2 and day 8 of quarantine

last application was denied because of another missing form...
my understanding is that the application must be in the same place you reside, and i want to reside in bangkok
Dont know what your issue is. 90 day Non O based on Retirement from your own country. 40k outpatient and 400k inpatient plus $100k Covid insurance is whats required. Forget any past visas they are long gone. You can convert to an extension of stay in Thailand meeting the financial requitements if you wish

The $100,000 covid 19 insurance only needs to be valid for the length of stay you get when you enter the country.
Look here for the covid 19 insurance. https://www.tipinsure.com/CovidRegional/product_detail
You wife does not have to have the covid 19 insurance.
You could get a single entry non-o visa based upon marriage to a Thai that will allow one 90 day entry.
How long do you plan on staying here?
I think that now Thais cannot stay in free state quarantine the requirement for Thais to have $100k Covid is changing as well. I am not 100% sure but I have heard rumours and this infographic from the RTE London re the Phuket Sandbox, seems to confirm that Thais need insurance as well.

Sounds like your standards are as grubby as the bars you frequent.
You are just so jealous that you cant come here. By the way pal the bars have been closed for 2 months now. Those grubby little bars you mention are desperate to open to survive. I just enjoy sitting on the veranda a few times a week enjoying the peace and quiet of our gated secure village, with my wife. See you got that wrong pal. You must be great company, I have looked back on many of your posts and they are all angry and judgemental, I hope you dont have a heart condition. Calm down man.

Download Vyke
You put credit on and away you go. I put $2.5 (they charge in $) and it lasts forever. When you call the UK your Thailand number shows up but you are calling via VYKE. You can also get an extra telephone number even a UK number if you wish. This is great if you want to make people think you are calling from the UK

Nobody here to go to the bars anyway.
Maybe a few of the upscale bars will be ok but not these grubby little bars full of bar girls begging for drinks.
Stay in the fields growing rice girls, your prince charmings have gone.
Sounds like your lust for life and your libido has gone as well

For OA extensions the 40k baht outpatient and 400k baht inpatient insurance cover is applicable, do you have this in place?

Not approved yet. Best advice to you is to concentrate on your Taxi business.

From the Facebook quote, it looks like KLM have a serious issue with their EDI check-in staff who, if it's like ABZ airport, are not KLM employees but staff under contract from (maybe) Swissport. I fully agree with his suspicion that security was advised to give him a hard time by the check-in staff because they had been shown up as unapologetic numpties (and run security as well).
Ultimately, KLM are responsible though and if I had gone through that nightmare, I would be filing a complaint with both KLM and Swissport.
Yes Swissport has been mentioned. Thanks

Sorrythese stories are not getting enough attention. I was told completely wrong info, by an airline I was to board to Thailand in January they had no idea about the COE and ASQ process. No way this is acceptable 6 months later. I would send a concise letter addressed to the CEO of KLM by FedEx to ensure it is at least read by someone in the executive offices.
Thanks, in later part of the thread he has been advised to do so. I think his priority at this time is to get his eyesight sorted out.

This is a copy of the Facebook post
"Ok first of all I want to thank everyone here for their quick responses and help. I couldn’t reply at the time cos it was mayhem At Edinburgh airport check in ( was going edin-amster-bkk) I went early as I’m blind right now. Had every bit of paperwork poss but they refused to check me in saying tourists not allowed into Thailand. No matter how many times I showed them COE they wdnt allow me to check in. I asked for line manager upon manager. They were cheeky and talking sh@t saying the rules changed yesterday. I called people who are good at this stuff and they told me don’t leave the desk. Check in lady also said she called klm and they said I can’t board but I don’t think she did call. They persistently lied and wouldn’t tell me there names ( I asked many times) after 2 hrs they said go home you are 100% not going on this flight. I then said ok read me the conditions of who can get in. She read residents ( btw I have a house in thai and I’m going for an op) medical, certificate from authorities. I stopped her there and said is that not certificate of entry ? I have that. She said anyone can download it from internet ???? I said you have to jump through hoops to get it. She then called klm while I was there and they said yes I can go. She didn’t even look at me and said why didn’t you show this before doh at least 10 times I showed her. Fckn raging. When I got to security I was detained for around 10 mins and they even went through my wallet ( I think they got a call) I had the white stick and everything and was treated like sh@ t. From then on the flight and transit were fantastic If anyone’s coming do not and I mean do not take no for an answer. They have no clue. I could easily have gave up and lost a fortune, missed my drs appt etc. It was a scandal so hope if anyone is coming they read this and prepare for some snash Cheers again y’all appreciated the support ????????"

A guy in Edinburgh agrued with check in for over 2 hours before they finally allowed him to board. They were telling him to go home you are not getting on the flight. This is not an isolated incident with KLM from the UK.

Have you actually uploaded the document by clicking the small icon? This catches many people out. You have to upload from your computor or mobile device and once that is done upload to the COE application.
