The court also ruled that the NBTC’s claim that the program in question might cause serious damage to the public interest was unfounded
I'm sure they'll find some other "misdemeanours" to keep the channel off the air.

deposits go to Chiang Mai Bangkok Bank branch
Firstly how did you manage to direct money to a specific branch ?
and secondly it doesn't matter anyway...just go to any bank branch to get the "statement" needed for immigration..technically its not a statement..it's a letter showing you have the required amount in the bank.

Pattaya it would not be so practical.
In Pattaya the choice of repair shops is dwindling but Amorn will still ( half heartedly ) try.
there are 2 component shops along Theprasit road
they may be able to recommend somewhere for repairs.

Forgive me, but leaving a credit card with anyone here is utter madness.
Well my thought was that if I gave them cash it might have been hard to get the deposit back
( if they where dishonest )
whereas the credit card has "full protection" from fraudulent use ( due to good UK credit card law)
and also had a maximum limit of 800 UK pounds.
Yes it wasn't the best option to leave a card with them..however they where honest, no problems when I returned the car they looked it over ( I hadn't crashed it ) card returned smiles all round no spurious/fraudulent charges to my credit card at all... must be lucky..but never win the lottery ????

One time I left my passport with them they didn't require a deposit...once I left a credit card with them instead of a deposit or passport...it all depends on the person renting out the bike/car what they will except...all times I paid for my expected rental period up front with the option to bring it back later than agreed ,just pay the extra money on return...no problems these where from small rental businesses and a couple of privately owned cars.Do rental companies not require a deposit anyway?
I think the big rental companies will need a deposit. -
They where never popular...I think you'll have a job finding one to rent..
Have you gone to the "Watchara Marine" Yamaha dealer and asked..
I hear they will let you test drive in their car park.

Tell them to take a photo copy of the passport or ID /drivers licence as you will be needing the originals to show hotel and police etc...maybe offer a deposit if they are reluctant..if still no good go to another rental company.

Side walks for pedestrians? Nope. For parked cars, motorcycles, trees, utility poles, utility boxes. signs, flower pots - everything but pedestrians if a typical Thai sidewalk.
Yep you can see in the top photo the concrete electricity pylon slapped right in the middle of the pavement and that the pavement is very narrow.

Your stuff will work fine ...the only small problem is with UK style plugs...if you find a socket to plug them into then live and neutral will be reversed...the appliance will work fine but switching on/off will be via neutral instead of live which is dangerous....so better to fit Thai style 3 pin plugs.

If you have a wooden house on the farm. Use the oil as a deterrent to creepy crawlies. Just paint it onto the timber like a shop-bought repellent.
I have used it like that ( creosote ) before on some teak "duck boards" in the garden last oil change,
but this time I forgot about doing that and put the old oil back into the new container and gave it to the local "scavenger" lady you can also just leave it by the rubbish bins and someone will take it for recycling...it does have monetary value.

Stopped 4x Today
in Pattaya
Posted
Not so easy in Pattaya..they do have their usual spots but not everyday they go for weeks or months with no stops then bam out of the blue back again ! they also like to stop on Sukhumvit where you have no choice short of turning round and drive against traffic flow ...or to set up just round a blind corner and under the fly-over where again you have no chance to avoid them.
The most I got stopped was twice in a day and that wasn't any, fun 4 times is just getting silly.
