Haha, thought so. Was hoping that since it is a gift, I could avoid the duty fee. Thank you phuketrichard. If things don't pan out, then I will take you up on your offer. I appreciate you answering my questions.

Can I get some suggestions on how I can get my ring to Thailand without having to pay the vat and tax? Because right now it is cheaper for me to go to the US and bring it myself if the above rates are correct.

Haha, you guys just saved me a lot of money. Thank you so much. Phew...

Hello, I am having a custom ring made in the U.S.A. and they will ship it to Thailand. Do I have to pay import fees when buying jewelry overseas? The shipping is fully insured but the cost of the item is quite high. I am afraid it will cost me quite a bit. Please enlighten me, thank you!

thank you very much!

Sheryl, I have a question. I was able to get 6 tablets of Candinox vaginal tablets by CBLAB. The directions are in thai and the pharamacist couldn't explain how to use, can you clarify how it should be used? Not sure how it is taken.
Also, it says 1-2 tablets daily, at bed time. So just one per day and over 6 days? Do I continue buying it if it does not work?

Thank you so much. We got a canesten cream and an anti fungal funcozole pill that is taken once weekly. I should have read your message before going to the pharmacy. I'll go back again today! Thank you!

Hey Sheryl I found this informative post by you from 2008:
It was very helpful. I believe it is the same issue with my gal. You wrote that a cream alone is not enough, so I'm trying to locate the pills but having trouble.

If I write it down for them, will they understand? Or is there a Thai word for this kind of medication?

I've been able to find canesten cream for yeast infections, but I was not able to find an anti fungal pill or pessary. May I ask what it is called in thai? Every pharmacy said they did not have a pill, only creams. I think I might be having communication problems. Thank you for the help!
Lastly, I want to ask how long it is okay for me to use an anti fungal cream or pill. I know fungal issues can become resistant, and so I want to make sure I take the proper steps to keep it away after the round of prescriptions.

I know that this is probably a long shot and perhaps absurd, but I am very curious to find out if there are any reputable English or Korean seminaries in Thailand. I understand it will probably not be the best, but I would like to visit them and see for myself. This kind of information is probably rare, but if you know of anyone with experience or if you have heard about some places, could you let me know? Thank you, I really appreciate it!

I sold a motorbike for cash and I have about 60,000 baht in cash. I figured it would be best to exchange the money into dollars in Thailand and not when I go back to the States. However, I am unsure which method/place is best to make this transaction. If you have experience, please advise. Thank you.

It's been a long time since I've been to Bangkok. So I take the airport train to phaya Thai and then where do I go to get close to nakonchai air bus terminal? Mo chit?
I remember I get off a stop from the bts and then take a public bus (forget the number) to nakonchai air.
Would love some help. Thank you!

Quick question about obtaining a non B visa before the 28th of April, but not using it until much later on June 18. Is this possible or do I need to use the visa right away once I get it from the Thai US embassy?
-
OK, I will just have to do that then. Thanks ubonjoe!

Question, it says on the thai oregon consulate that the fee for tourist visa is waived, but the site also says i Have to pay $40. Which is it?
Lastly, is it possible to obtain two visas from the consulate? One tourist visa for a 60 day stay that is used in April, and a Non-B visa that will be used later on in May? Because then that would be less of a dice roll
-
Awesome, that sounds like a good idea. Thanks ubonjoe! can you tell me more about how I can get a re-entry permit? I will be in the north of thailand, near chiang rai.

I begin work in Thailand around June and I have all the necessary documents to get a Non B from the Thai Embassy in the U.S. But I want to enter Thailand earlier and do a month of traveling and recreation before I begin my work. Thus, I wanted to know if I can get my Non B visa from the embassy but have it so that I can use it later? Perhaps June 1. Before then, I would like to leave for Thailand in less than two weeks and spend a month or two there on a visa on arrival.
Is this possible? If so, how can I go about doing this? If not, what are my options? Thank you!

You can get the TM7 form at immigration or download it and print it two sided. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/tm7.pdf
You already have a TM6 departure card you got when you entered the country.
Because of you I had everything prepared and saved a bunch of time. Thank you Sir Ubonjoe. Routine visa extension complete.

What kind of entry do you have now?
A tourist or visas exempt entry can be extended for 30 days at an immigration office for a fee of 1900 baht.
You will need a completed TM7 form with a 4 X 6 cm photo attached. Copies of your passport photo page, visa (if any), entry stamp and TM6 departure card.
Thank you for the right info as always Sir. I Have a visa exempt entry at the moment. The TM7 form and TM6 form, will they provide at the office just like they do at the border?

Am a US citizen wanting to stay one more month in Thailand via visa extension. I am going to the office today, other than my passport and 1,900, is there anything else I need to bring? Thank you!
Documents and authentication needed to Teach in Thailand?

Is there an official list of items needed to acquire a working permit for teaching English in Thailand.
1. 4 Year Degree
2. TEFL or TESOL cert
3. Medical check?
4. FBI background report?
5. Work experience letter proving 2+ years of experience?
And do all these need either apostille or authentication from the embassy of the document's origin?
I've taught in Korea and China, and the requirements are all different and the authentication is different, but the guidelines and requirements are crystal clear. What about Thailand? Are there such clear procedures or will it vary too widely? If it does vary, could you at least tell me what the average public school will ask for?
Thank you!
