  1. I am selling my CBR650F bought at Honda Bigwing Pattaya on April 2015 ==> (edit: 3 august 2015) for 260000BHT. The bike is in perfect condition. Bike always stayed protected in underground parking and with cover. Options included in the price:

    - modified original exhaust (better and deeper sound)

    - 2 usb charging ports

    - Shiny carbon black handle grips (original included)

    - Honda Backseat cover Mat Black

    - Helmet Mat Black

    - Slim Led turning lights in the front (original included)

    - Bike cover

The bike has +/- 1350km. Color is Mat Black. Bike works perfectly smooth. Reason for sale: leaving in a few months due to personal reasons.

The bike comes with a loan from krungsri bank. The easiest solution is to transfer the loan (still 29 months to pay at 7180bht/month) in the new buyers name.

If the buyer prefer to pay cash we need to go to the bank to clear the loan and the remain part will be paid in cash to me. You will then receive the bike with the keys and the bank will issue a paper that allows to transfer the name to the new owner. Please note that in Thailand the bank keeps the green book if you have a loan. It means that the bank will only give the book to the owner once the loan has been paid off. It means the book is not in my possession.

New price of the bike is 300,000TBH without options. The bike comes fully insured with first class insurance and road tax already paid till september 2016 worth 12000bht. First oil change has been done at 1000km.

If you are interested, send me a private message and if you want to see the bike, we can make an appointment. The bike is in Naklua.

This is a great opportunity if you are looking for a new sport-bike. Please only contact me if you are seriously interested. Thank you.

  2. Hi

Which bank in Bangkok allows me to open a new personal bank account without showing a Work Permit OR a retirement visa? Just SCB and BKK branches declined to open one, even as I have valid credit cards with them AND bank accounts . They said I need to go to the HQ's (and outcome would be still uncertain).

Just can't find my old (but still in use) bank books.

Besides of those above, does Citibank need a WP or a Retirement Visa?

Any suggestions? Seems everything is tied here now to either a hudge amount of money, employment/WP or retirement visa

Any other ways suggested? Such as using PayPal? That would not be the final solution, though and likely expensive.

    Please let me know. Thanks.

    R.

I opened my scb account with my ED-visa. No questions where asked. 20 min and everything was done.

  3. She wasn't "single". She had an argument with her Finnish boyfriend after a night out. He elected to sleep in another room.

    "Single" means not married.

Are you attempting to say this single lady was, in fact , married ?

"In legal definitions for interpersonal status, a single person is someone who is not in a relationship or is unmarried. In common usage, the term 'single' is often used to refer to someone who is not involved in any type of serious romantic relationship, including long-term dating, engagement, or marriage. Single people may participate in dating and other activities to find a long-term partner or spouse."

  4. It aint big enough giddyup sorry..............rolleyes.gif

Am I supposed to take your word for that, or do you have some information that backs up your statement? According to a Google search, a 12,000 BTU aircon will service between 450-550 square feet. My bedroom is nowhere like that big.

The most common window air conditioning units come in cooling capacities ranging from 5,000 to 12,000 Btu. A 12,000 Btu air conditioner can cool between 450 and 550 square feet of floor space. A 12,000 Btu unit could cool a room 25 feet long by 20 feet wide that has 500 square feet of floor area. Manufacturers give their own ratings as to how much room area they believe their units can cool.

I had a similar problem with my aircon. My room is around the same size as yours, 5x5m. Aircon is old, around 10 years. 12000btu is more then enough for a room that size. We had the same problem, aircon didnt go below 29°, first technician came to fill with gas, but it didn't help. He advised us then we should change the aircon because it was too old and there was nothing he could do to fix it. Gf was ready to go buy a new aircon, but i wanted to get some advice from another technician first. In the end i did good as the other technician fixed the problem by changing the old tubes with new copper ones. The problem was that the old cable had holes in it and wasn't protected correctly. Since then the aircon works perfectly. And the electricity bill went down a little as well. Hope it helps!

  5. A second offense to be dealt with severaly. That's good, what exactly is the punishment?

The punishment is a slap on the wrist, you naughty taxi driver do not do that.

1000 baht for the first offence is a fairly hefty fine for someone earning 10-15K a month. 3-6 months licence suspension for a second offence means they can't earn a living for that period of time as a taxi driver. Slap on the wrist? I don't think so.

I agree with you if the police follow the law on the long term. Or it will just become a new way for them to get more bribes...

  6. This thread may get Classic Burgers a lot of first time customers but not so many second time customers. I tried both Classic Burgers and Rock Me Burgers in the same week as a result of this thread and in my opinion Rock Me Burgers wins hands down. I would never go back to Classic Burgers after going to Rock Me Burgers.

I agree 100%. It seems that novice business owners have no vision as to what happens after the first burst of enthusiasm of a new restaurant.

I noticed that they have a huge sign saying "if your not happy with your burger ITS FREE" Maybe we should hasten their eventual decline by everybody who feels that they've been let down in classic burgers to demand a free burger. Let's see how long they can withstand that barrage of dissatisfied customers.

Do you own a burger restaurant? All your posts are so negative towards classic burger. Do you want them to close?

  7. It would be nice if there was some sort of police patrol on the beach during the wee hours................ Amazing how brash these punks are, instead of running away when they are spotted, they choose to stay and fight with a deadly weapon. I wonder how much ya baa these POS's were on?

Why wouldn't they stay when spotted? A Baht 500 fine and that is it. One day Thailand will understand the meaning of justice but it wont be for many many years to come.

We will all be long gone...

  8. In light of the recent attacks and attempted attacks in Europe, do you believe that Europe will be able to significantly reduce terrorism?

Please feel free to leave a comment.

Not only it will continue but the attacks will be bigger and more devastating. Our Europeans "leaders" dont have the balls nor any clue how to handle the situation. Its game over for Europe.

  9. I'm thinking about driving from Pattaya to Ubon........

I've Googled the journey but thought it best to get some real feedback from anyone who's actually done this journey.

Is it realistic to drive there in one day or should I make an overnight stop and if so where would you recommend. ?

    Cheers

    H

We did it 5 or 6 times already. Everytime we leave around 9am and arrive around 7pm. Yes you can do it in 1 day. We stop on average every 2-3 hours to relax for 10-15 minutes and when we arrive in the evening we are ok, not too tired. Hope it helps

  10. How the hell did they smuggle bombs inside an airport. If this happened in Thailand all barstool investigators here would be mocking the Thai police and calling Thailand a 3rd world country. I guess Thailand is much safer than Europe.

It is trust me. I am a belgian citizen and the main reason i decided to move to Thailand is because it is much safer compared to Brussels. You dont want to live in Brussels, the "capital of europe" at the moment. So much tension, frustration and hate. Its very sad but we all know why it came so far. :(
  11. Now I’m going to let you all in on a secret. The real reason us old dudes choose to live in the land of smiles has nothing to do with sex. It’s all about respect and longevity.

How can you speak in name of all the "old dudes" here in Thailand??

Do you know every single "old dude" in Thailand to make that claim?

So you are saying no old men come for the sex scene some cities in Thailand offer?

I live in Pattaya and i can assure you there are plenty of old perverts around here.
