When you have had 2nd jab download the NHS app complete a million questions and you can retrieve your covid passport with a QR code for each jab download and attach it to your COE to be safe wait 14 days after there is bound to be some eagle eyed jobsworth ready with a red pen ????

I plan to travel to Bangkok for quarantine and other posters have mentioned they have travelled without the vaccine cert, I'm going to be double jabbed when I travel but I dont want to wait 14 days!.... I do get what you mean about them being jobsworths however.

  2. thanks for the info guys, i read on another topic that I should wait for the pre approval to be confirmed first before uploading the flight and hotel bookings, is this correct? there is a 'attach documents for further consideration' part on the pre approval part of the application form. should I drop the flight and hotel booking in here or wait until it gets confirmed and then book the dates I want to travel as I've read once your pre approval gets confirmed, you normally get you COE on the same day you upload you flight and hotel bookings.

  3. Hello all swaddee kap,

I plan to travel to Thailand within the next 12 -14 days and a few questions with regards to a vaccine certificate they seem to be asking me to upload when applying for a COE Pre Approval.

I plan to travel on visa exempt (45 days from London, uk passport).

It doesn't list anything on the official government website with regards to this, can anybody point me in the right direction as to what exactly it is they require, if anything?

I plan to get my 2nd jab on Sunday and am going to be staying in Bangkok for quarantine so I'm hoping I don't need to actually have the vaccine for 14 days before I can travel. is this rule still the same?

Am I right in only booking flights and hotel once the COE has been approved or should I book up my flights first as the website is a little confusing?

I under the assumption I only need the following docs for successful entry clearance:

    Flight,

    hotel,

    insurance,

    coe,

T.8 form, Do we have to print and fill this in before boarding, or will it be provided by the airline because they seem to give a link for it on the website,

    declaration form,

    Thailand plus app.

I would appreciate any help with this matter,

    Kind regards.

  4. thanks for the replies guys.

I will probably end up stay a little over 3-4 months.

Is a ME Non O visa based of marriage and having a child still available at the Thai embassy here in London?

Can I go apply in person or are they currently only accepting postal applications?

Do I need proof of a return ticket if I obtain a NON-O visa and any Proof of funds upon arrival?

I don't understand the need to quarantine for 15 days if you have been vaccinated and do a test before arriving, absurd!

  5. Greetings all/ swadee kap.

I am a British national who is married to a Thai and have children living in Thailand.

I wish to go visit them and want to apply for a non o visa from London.

    A few questions I had:

    1. What are the requirements now, documents wise? Do I have to book a ticket in order to apply?

    2. What other requirements in relation to covid are needed in order to be allowed entry?

    3. I plan to stay at my wife place, do I still need to quarantine in a hotel?

    Any help appreciated.

  6. Hi all,

Im currently in thailand on a ME NON-O visa, based on marriage, which i have extended by 60days after the initial 90 days they give you upon arrival were about to run out at sakaeo immigration.

    Im a british citizen.

I want to do a border hop/activate new entry, and i live close to the poipet border, but have read reports that the immigration officers can be difficult.

Is this still the case? Its fustrating as im only 30km from the poipet border. Would me putting my wifes address on the tm30 which shows im so close to poipet increase my chances of not being denied entry? I dont want to risk being stranded in cambodia, ecs poipet.

What would be the next best choice/closest border which can be recommended for a new entry/90 day stamp.

Would i need to show any sort of funds, if doing a land entry?

    Any help appreciated.

  7. Hi, couldn’t find an answer when searching, new to the forum and a bit confused about visas.

Currently live in the UK with my Thai wife (I’m from the UK, below retirement age) if I want to go live in Thailand with her I have to apply for an initial 90 day non immigrant visa before converting to one year marriage  correct? The royal Thai consulate in London website states I have to show evidence that I earn at least £1500 per month, is this correct? Anyone have any experience of this? I read other websites that state I don’t have to prove any income.

    Thanks.
No financials required, its an error on the website.

  8.

    Hi all,

Yday was my 87th day on a non-o ME visa here in thailand which i aquired in london.

I have been staying at my wifes place with our 2 kids in sa kaeo since i arrived and did not bother reporting myself as i wasnt aware and had passed the time period they give (24hrs) of arriving to report yourself.

I decided to do a 60day extension at sa kaeo immigration.

The bluebook master is my wifes father and i knew i would need to do a t30 along with the normal extension.

No questions or fines with regards to the t30 as to why my wifes father didnt report me, but they did take quiet a few more copies of whats normally required for the extension.

2 copies of wifes fathers id card

2 copies of wifes father tabian baan (housemaster)

    Copy of wifes id

    Copy of wifes tabian baan

    Copy of marriage cert

Copy of surname change doc which you get when marrying

    Copy of arrival card

    Copy of my passport

A pic needs to be given along with the app plus they also take a digital pic at immigration

Copy of the non-o visa in my passport

    1900bhat.

They never asked to see the original marriage doc, id card or tabian baan. We got lucky we took a whole bunch of copies we made with us which had the surname change doc for my wife when we married.

Took over a hour and it was pretty busy compared to the past.

Got the extension and was surprised about no questions or fines in regards to the tm30 reporting even though they have a seperate counter at immigration for it so i was expecting to be fined at the least.

    Good experience.
