Of course the shift to domestic tourism won't include making it easier and more attractive for expats to live in Thailand and travel around the country. Instead, they'll make long term visas more expensive and difficult to get and will expand dual pricing.

And what about the shop owners who treat the sidewalk as if it's their property? They cover it with boxes, bikes and crates, forcing pedestrians onto the road, or in parts, into the yawning chasms where the road used to be.

Very misleading headline. This is a proposal made by the worker reps, very unlikely to be accepted by the government. So Thailand is NOT "set to increase minimum wage to 492 baht".- 58 replies
