  1. I was amazed to discover that all the double taxation treaties are online in English and Thai and can be found on a Google search. It's pretty clear that there are treaties with most countries that expats come from and that there is very little they will be able to tax on overseas income for most retirement visa holders.
  2. Mark Jacob on Facebook was shopping for people at IKEA and organising the shipping at a very reasonable price. He seems now to be focussed on helping people with passports. If you have a FB account, send him a message. He's trustworthy and reliable.
  3. I'll be visiting my home country soon where my drivers license has expired. I have a 5-year Thai license issued on Koh Samui. Can I get an International license on the island or do I have to go to Surat Thani or Bangkok to get one?
  4. I'm wondering also how this is going to work. I'm in Thailand on a Non-Imm O Retirement extension. I don't have medical insurance here. I would like to go back to my home country for a few months and return on my Re-entry permit which means Thai Pass without needing a visa I guess. I figured I'd have to pay for medical insurance until my next Extention comes up which in my case would be about 5 months. Is this realistic? Is the cost of this type of medical insurance correct meaning I should figure on about 15,000 baht?
