  1. Charming! Fat cat foreigner billionaire stokes the tier-priced system while oblivious to "rising" Thai "wages" and hotel charges already happening within this country.
  2. Probably a blunder. He might've forgotten the ammo was tucked away in a luggage pocket if he'd hurriedly packed before flying. Israelis are generally well-informed about security issues.
  3. Another 'high quality tourist' exclusively desired for humongous spending of baht. He doesn't quite fit that narrative pushed by TAT, though. Guess they'd reverse the narrative on that one.
  4. Yes. It is a dangerous bend (for careless drivers). Road codes mention dangerous bends and road signs often show them.
  5. Reenact? A cunning criminal would reenact differently, as would an innocent suspect overall, than in the crime investigated.
  6. Belisha beacons are 'same same' as zebras at zebra crossings in Thailand - non-existent. The beacons are in many countries, including with the first zebra crossings in the UK, for additional visibility of zebra crossings for motorists. Though not addressing motorist attitude, wouldn't they help increase zebra crossing awareness here?
  7. "... murdered by scythe" "... loud music blamed". Only people can murder and be charged, not inanimate objects or sound. 'With' and 'triggered' would be among suitable words to use with these extraneous things.
  8. So, better still and long-term, the emergence of new anti-vaxxers among children transitioning to adulthood should be stymied by quality education about the verified importance of this vaccination and altruistic community health.
  9. Until recently, the governments of these island nations had a different approach: the zero Covid policy.
  10. Why didn't they survey all the retirees themselves, the ones this is all about? But reading other posts here reminds me that the situational and economic differences even between us is enormous. I'm merely surviving. As for the media pitch, the consumption of heavily sugarcoated goods eventually results in what?
  11. Reporting in the 1599 call saying “She does crack” would cover both before and after infractions, as it suggests she habitually does it. I’ve thought long and hard about what this street talk could mean. It would also avoid using the word ‘prostitution’ and give a lowdown on approaching the crackdown.
  12. That's 'charming'., implying that every tourist who isn't a high earner and big spender is low "quality" and condescendingly discarded as a bottom of the barrel commodity. Excuse me a moment while I throw up. It abrogates this tourist from a person, a person potentially of better character than one "high quality" tourist.
  13. Flood risk management plans (FRMP) should’ve already been in place. Just quickly implement the plans when flooding seems imminent, instead of running around in circles. Root of the bigger problem is downriver - protecting the sinking city of Bangkok, originally built on river delta swampland.... Difficult - the West has sinking cities, too, like London and Amsterdam. Long term, Bkk faces more flooding and a rising sea level from global climate change. Groundwater extraction and the increasing weight of Bangkok’s infrastructure causes the sinking, some places about 2 cm. a year; the sea level rise is about 0.4 cm. a year. Short of the horrendously expensive relocation of the capital city, combat groundwater extraction and global climate change.
