  1. I also use Antazallerge when my allergies act up and it helps tremendously.
  2. I think there are quite a few but I haven't researched it. Mine is a Mercedes Benz SUV.
  3. I have a plug-in Hybrid here in Thailand, and in my opinion, definitely the way to go. I get about 50kms on battery which covers all my needs except when I go on a long road trip. It's easy to find gasoline on my journey and fill-ups are very fast. This is perfect, for me at least.
  4. It's the opposite, at least in the US. This is what Google's AI wrote: " while sales of electric vehicles (BEVs) have declined, hybrid sales have increased in the US. In 2023, BEV sales reached 1,119,251, up from 760,329 in 2022, but hybrid sales have increased 65% to more than 1.2 million, lifting their market share to 8% from 5.5%."
  5. To replace my Mint Mobile plan, I signed up for a T-mobile pay as you go plan. Prepaid Pay As You Go $3/Month Plan, $0.1/text/minute https://usasimcard.com/products/esim-activation-t-mobile-prepaid-pay-as-you-go-3-month-plan-0-1-text-min This company is actually a service to open the T-Mobile account. I bought the activation package a couple of hours ago, was sent an eSIM, and I activated the number by installing the eSIM which was sent to me automatically. The phone number was activated but I couldn't make any calls because I didn't have any money in my pay-as-you-go account. Any call I made went to T-Mobile service in the US. I had to wait for a while to get a vendor PIN from the service, which was necessary for the next step. I then opened a T-Mobile account on the web, entered my new US phone number, verified my email address, verified the Vendor PIN, and am now all set. Total time was about 2 hours and all was done from Thailand. Now I have a US T-Mobile number and the company that helped buy the eSIM is now out of the picture, ie, all my dealings are with T-Mobile. In summary, it only took me a couple of hours to be up and running with a new US phone number. Next step is porting over my old Mint Mobile number to T-Mobile by calling Mint Mobile Customer service and getting a transfer PIN, then calling T-Mobile Customer service with my old info such as Mint phone number and transfer PIN.
  6. Thank you. It is now clear that it was in error, as evidenced directly from statements of his female 'partner' and other sources in Thai Media.
  7. I'm now retired but worked for many years in Thailand. I paid 37% (or 35%) marginal tax here in Thailand. When my US tax return was prepared on Thailand income, I received a tax credit for what I paid in Thailand. Since the Thailand tax rate was higher than the US tax rate, I had to pay a negative tax to the US, but of course, the US would not refund this amount. Instead, I had a tax credit which I could use in future years, but this had to be applied to foreign income, not US income. So for example, I paid $37,000 in taxes to Thailand. In the US, I should pay $20,000 on that income, so I got a credit of $17,000 which I could apply to non-US income at some time in the future. (I think the credits expired in 7 years but I'm not sure.)
  8. I haven't found the Phuket Express article that says that they are legally married. (Which is contrary to some Thai language TV reports and social media.) Could you post the link please? Thank you.
  9. I think that the severe reaction of many Thais to this has to do with his particulars, at least what they are seeing and reading. Incredible stuff on both on TV and Social Media. Since this is what Thais are seeing and reading, it's not surprising about their reaction.
  10. Quite a bit of time is being devoted to this story on the TV news, including a lot more background of this person. They have video of him driving a car, blocking an ambulance and giving the middle finger to the ambulance driver. Refused to let the ambulance pass. Also of him threatening someone with a sidearm on a different occasion. Also boasting of connections. Probably more unfavorable info will come out during the next few days. I don't think this incident is going to end up well for him.
  11. If you click on the buy link for ultramobile, it links to the sim purchase on Ebay. Note that it's sold by Mint Mobile, so I'm not sure that it will work with the international roaming we need in order to receive the SMS.
  12. I just received notice from Mint that they are canceling my International Roaming, forcing me to use their new (expensive and inconvenient) plan. So I will now purchase a plan from someone else and transfer my Mint phone number to the new carrier. Such a disappointment.

  14. Yes, Google Voice used to work with Citi's SMS system but no longer. That's why I now also have a real US phone number via Mint Mobile.
  15. I've had Google Voice for years but it won't work with many banks, such as mine (Citibank). For that reason, I signed up for MintMobile and have been using it for my banks.
