  1. What could make a difference is telling them that you need the account in order to apply for a non-O visa.
  2. There is probably something not so good about your "real me" if they start to dislike you when they get to know you. Your persona probably needs more drastic changes than a new after-shave lotion...
  3. That sounds very unlikely to me. Arrested for a week or two until the investigation is finished? In a democratic country? No... Edit: He was brought in for questioning and then released, that's not arresting.
  4. Why would he be arrested if the "runaway" was due to a car fault? There's more to this than what is reported..

  6. I was once told that the max span PEA do is 20m.
  7. That's what Thai PBS said, Srettha himself said "he may have an opportunity to..."
  8. Still waiting for the flashbacks they say we would get.
  9. How does it affect the lifetime of lead-carbon batteries if you only have an hour or two of absorption time before starting to discharge them?
  10. A week ago I had a transfer delayed by 24hours or money returned to the ource if I didn't reply to their question which was "please explain further the reason for the transfer" I replied to them saying that I had selected "for living expenses" as I had done for my last 10 transfers, so what is it you don't understand about living expenses? They transferred the money with the 24 hour delay. I'd guess that they either didn't have enough THB in their Thai account or they just wanted to wait for a better exchange rate for them. I didn't give them any information in my reply that they didn't already have.
  11. It is an ok inverter for the money, it is a cheap inverter from a known company. The price diff between the 4.2KW/24V and the 6.2KW/48V is so small that you should buy the 6.2KW version. Edit: The inverter can not export power to the grid.
  12. I yield to temptation immediately , can't be sure that it comes around to me another time.
  13. because production is dependent on usage, if you not utilize the panels to 100% then you will get a flawed solar hours value. I utilize my panels to 100% until 1pm, then batteries are charged and remaing production goes to consumption only. My 52-54 KWh daily production from 14KW of panels would be slightly less than 4 solar hours but I have full production from 7.30am covering the consumption then consumption+ battery charge from 8.00am to 1.00pm and then until 5 pm covering consumption. I have been up to 70KWh of production when I tested grid feed-in which would give 5 solar hours according to your calculation.
  14. How do you get that number? You can't take the production and divide by panel capacity and deriver solar hours from that. I assume Crossy doesn't have any batteries, his ratio between produced and bought power is about the same as I got the first month I test ran my system before batteries arrived.
  15. No, you would need around 25KW of inverter (3 x 8 in parallel would do) , the same amount of panels and 75 KWh of batteries to make you self sufficient. Do you have enough roof space to accommodate 48 panels?
  16. My big family has learnt to get back to electric for boiling (eggs, fish, vegetables, and such) but they use gas for frying. They are actually great at saving to our electricity bill by using higher current drawing appliances during daytime when we have more solar energy than we can use.
  17. I watched the video and tried to imagine what was going on. I guess I'm not very good at imagining.
  18. We have 14KW of panels, a 12KW inverter and 30KWh of batteries which covers 98% of our power usage which is 1500KWh/month. That is for 3 modern fridges, 1 freezer box, 5 Daikin 18000 btu inverter AC's whereof 2 are running 24/7 and the other 3 running night time only, all set to 27° C. Total cost for the solar was around 500.000 baht and estimated 6 years before ROI.
  19. That can be much longer if you have to charge while travelling and have to queue for charging. It is an infrastructure problem of mains power availability at the charging stations, a problem we saw in Germany and Austria during last years winter sports holiday. Customer had to wait 1-2 hours before getting access to a charging post which sometimes were of limited number due to not enough mains power in the area. It will take many years before we have the infrastructure for a guaranteed quick charge of EV's on the road so an EV owner has to plan forward and take responsibility for his own charging. Best way in my opinion to do that today is to buy a hybrid if you are travelling long distances. Will the problem be gone in 5-10 years time? I doubt it, infrastructure will surely have improved but will it ever be able to cope with a growing fleet of EV's?
