We received an email from Sheffield today stating that 'Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer. A further email will be sent to you to confirm when your application has been assessed and dispatched.'
UK Decision Making Centre.
*The email arrived at 7:03am UK time which is a bit odd unless they are doing a little overtime!
well done. Hope it's good news.
I notice your application was sent to Sheffield almost 2 months after ours and we still haven't heard a thing.

Have you not emailed them? You should really consider using the paid (£5.60) email service to try and find out the status of the application.
I wouldn't just keep waiting.
I've just emailed them 5 minutes before you posted.
I'll post the reply when i receive it.
As a matter of info, she has had previous holiday visa approved.

Incorrect. "Third party liability insurance included. First class insurance can be purchased at the pick up."
http://www.asiaridingadventure.com/rental-corner/
First Class Insurance is not a commercial rental insurance.
I suggest when purchasing to read the policy and small print.

It should be a condition when one hires a car or motorbike in Thailand that the vehicle rental company/individual provides full and adequate insurance for the vehicle and the driver/pasengers. Of course it will add to the cost, but so be it.
For your information...
Fully Comprehensive insurance is not available from any insurance company in Thailand on a rental bike

My response was 100% correct, I was responding to a comment about Scotland which is in the UK, not the Channel Islands which aren’t.
agreed. They are independent.

Not so, the processing of UK Visas is not devolved, or indeed is Immigration itself, applicants have to pay the NHS Surcharge wherever they plan to live in the UK.
Not 100% correct
If they plan to live in The Channel Islands there is no NHS Surcharge at all.

very easy in fact.
just make sure you have the Foreign Exchange certificate that you received when you brought it in.
there is no limit . I transferred a very large sum back to the UK only 3 days ago. The funds were in my UK account within 6 hours.

I think the OP is the owner. He has leased his house to someone else. He now wants to sell the house.
I don't see a problem, other than finding a buyer who doesn't want to buy it to live in it.
the yellow and blue book does not mean ownership. it is just the house master.

They will fail you in Pattaya if you can't identify the colours, and it's not a strip, it's a large circle made up of many different coloured dots.
They will turn to (blind eye) if you have help from a person behind you

You have to collect it, taking you old passport in to be cancelled.

Wife wears one when doing the house work. She has a dust allergy.
If she forgets to wear it she will sneeze continuously and eyes water.
-
The basic cost for building the house will be cheap.it all depends on what standard of finish you want.
For a European type house with a European standard finish will cost you up of 15000 baht a sq mt.

Common sense really.
Of course it's rising the same as everywhere else in the world.
