Your best option is probably a tourist visa, which can be either single or multiple entry. A tourist visa allows you to stay 60 days in Thailand, then you can extend that for another 30 days at an immigration office in Thailand.
If you kept your trip to 90 days or less, I would just get a single entry tourist visa and extend that in Thailand.
If you will stay longer than 90 days, I would get a multiple entry tourist visa, and then on or before 60 days make a short trip to a neighbouring country. When you return to Thailand you will get another 60 days for a total of 120. With this option you will also not have to visa an immigration office in Thailand which can be a nightmare.

I say , good riddance. Farangs that do return, should remember this. The owner has the right to refuse service, I dont care....but you can be sure, when and if things turn to normal, that is a place I will never go into from today on.

with all these restrictions and such guess this will be the first in 23 years i will not be spending the winter months in thailand. it may be 3-4 years before things gt back to normal for flying anywhere.

This was the correct decision.. if you looked back at all the facts, you would see that he would be found NOT GUILTY. people think they know everything and just make comments without knowing all the facts.

Usual stupid sort of post about "naughty" Thailand.
LOL. I've yet to see a Bkk gogo girl "dance". Shuffling around a pole is not dancing in my opinion. I've seen tourist women dancing on a gogo stage and they can dance, but only show how lazy the Thai BGs are. However I don't blame the Thai girls as it must get really old after a week or so.
From the photo, it looks like the sort of gogo I'd never go in as it looks like a nightmare with that awful lighting and horrid decor. I can guess it has that ghastly noise the DLs think is music, but is just too awful to endure and always played too loud.
I note the Chinese writing- I wonder how many Chinese they get in there, and if their are some, how many takeaways they do.
as well as bikinis
Trying to titillate by implying they were not dressed before- pathetic.
With stupidity like that why even bother opening? Give name and phone number- sure; Mickey Mouse is going to be a frequent punter, and some strange phone numbers for sure.
The girls make money from punters buying them drinks- fat chance if they can't sit with the customer for a bit of fondling.

harry,
If the car and house are in her name....you are screwed...just think for a second...if you tighten the purse strings...she can put a note on the car...if you dont end of paying the note...you lose the car...same for the house...just a heck of a lot more money involved. i feel sorry that you are in this position...but due to your son..you are kinda in a hard place. best of luck.

The Corner bar was shut down five years ago & demolished. No wonder she's got no customers.
I was thinking the exact same thing....only a concrete slab and rubble there.

tell her good luck with going back to work. i am sure the 5000 or so younger, prettier, better bodies will get the remaining farangs money before she does. As far as you problem...best of luck, either way...cut your loses while you can.

seems to me...if you are going to allow smoking...that in itself would spread the virus more than just breathing...you are using force to exhale the smoke...which in turn will exhale the virus droplets...pretty dumb to begin with.

Many years ago back in the UK my dog probably saw some birds in the back garden and she suffered similarly going through the closed door. When we got the door replaced we put stickers over it to about half way up the door.
They are dangerous without warning stickers, safety glass or not.
that is definately a smart idea...this way the dog can read the sticker in advance before going thru the glass door.

Maybe his money tree died and the princess dobbed him in to make way for a new money tree?
would think this was the case. new blood (money) for the family. keep in mind, if he is ousted and has a home...wonder who will be living in paid home....hmmmm..we can all guess how this went down. Thats a good reason to rent rather than buy.

maybe rubber tree businesses may pick back up.

Only eating and drinking is allowed;
I am guessing this will be one way to stop smoking at all bars and restaurants,,,,,I know this wont be popular...but I sure like it.

Nobody yet knows.
I have a very good friend, married to Thai lady now 11 years, she was in Thailand when this broke loose and he was in USA. he was planning on going to Thailand to stay with her in may...he has no idea when he will now be able to do that. Since she has dual citizenship, they are looking for her to come back to USA and then head back to Thailand when he can go.

I agree 100%, when I am out and about, I love the taste of beer. I will drink 5-6 nights a week and usually pay for it in the morning.....but to say I am an alcoholic is just stupid...just because you enjoy drinking doesnt make you an alcoholic. the last beer i had was February 8, 2020. I miss the friendship that goes with enjoying a beer with friends...but I am not missing beer. It has had no affect on me one way or another...
