Jaffacake

Does anyone have any more information on the 1 night ASQ stay required for the "quarantine free" entry into Bangkok? My mum is visiting in January and is currently in the process of getting things booked, can't seem to find much about it online and wasn't aware of it until I read this thread. I presume she would be taken to the hotel from the airport by officials and then free to go anywhere thereafter?
