  1. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, but this is my understanding;

The heavy rain washed out the dirt from under under the road surface.

Due to the lack of dirt under the road said road collapsed leaving a hole 3 meters diameter and around 5 meters deep.

They then filled up the hole with more "Dirt"

Its still raining. So let have a guess as to what might happen next? Is the road really open and vehicles are driving over this so called repair?

    Don't worry. emoticon-animal-016.gif

"Mr Arun estimated the work would cost around 2 million baht and take around one month to finish.

Construction could start within two or three months, he said. "

  2. When you come back you you must get a new stamp in your work permit.

The validity is for 1 year but you also have a stamp that have the same dates as your passport stamp.

You might get fined or the work permit gets revoked.

    Talk to your accountant.

    PoorSucker:

Can you enlighten me on your comment "The validity is for 1 year but you also have a stamp that have the same dates as your passport stamp."

Maybe I misunderstand you, but the expiry date of WP/date of stamping at Labour Department has not been aligned to permission to stay date in passport for some time.

I'm mean page 8 in WP and forward.

I have always got a renewal corresponding to my extension of stay.

Three months when I was on multiple non-B and 1 year when extension of stay based on marriage.

After my initial year I also received a stamp with "validity for 1 year".

So there's validity and renewal stamps.

The renewal stamp tell how long you are permitted to work.

The validity stamp you need for getting a multiple non-B visa. (in KL)

My current renewal stamp end same date as my extension of stay.

Here's some pages from my WP when I had multiple non-B.

  3. I suggest you send her some more money,or you can send it to me and I will forward it,because her sim might have no money.
No she is not cheating on you , she is cheating her boyfriend when she is with you,
  4. To get a work permit, you must work for a Thai company.

The set-up of company and accounting, auditing will cost you some money.

Contact a lawyer in your sons town for an estimate.

He has already stated that his intension is to work for his daughter in laws business. Whether it will meet all the requirements to get a work permit is another issue.

Of course he will never get an extension of stay working for a business but it is not far from Chiang Mai to the border.

The OP stated "my Daugther in law do not really own a company , but run a small food store . "

So for WP he must be employed by a company.

Only spouse can work for a sole proprietor.
