Add my name to the list of people needing a new place to stay. I arrived Friday and the place I'm staying was supposed to have Internet but I have yet to get it to work. I need it for my job so it needs to be reliable.

I'm currently in the area north of Chaweng lake but will consider somewhere in Lamai, Chaweng, Bo Phut, Mae Nam or Choeng Mon.

Budget, preferably under 20,000/month but could go higher if the place is worth it (to me). ***Reliable ADSL a must***.

see, thought so... wondered why all the hints from lamai bars came in.. thought there was a double..guess a pub crawl through chaweng is much more rewarding!

Sorry, but are these Bungalows in Lamai? Isn't it the "Lakeview Residence" now "Nora Lakeview Hotel"?

If so, don't worry, just across the road is Tropical Murphys (Irish Pub) and Chaweng has so many Pubs and Bars that you certainly will crawl after you have visited them all and done it right!

The first driving licence you get is for one year from the issue date.

The second one always exipres exires on your birthday on the fifth year after issue date.

They opened last month so it's going to be hard to find reveiws.

It looks very nice and the staff is very friendly.

The place is a springoff from first bungalow, maybe look on some reviews on that.

It is about 300 meters walk to the beach.

Not without worker meeting income requirements for there nationality and the company meeting very strict requirements. It has become very difficult for many in the last year.

So it's cheaper for me to make a Visa once a year and a border run every 3-months.

I got my 1-year non-B in Penang in begining of july.

Go to Penang.

I just got back today with my Multiple Non-B 1 year.

Went with firefly direct from Samui to Penang, the flight take 1 hour 20 min.

The taxi from airport to georgetown is 38 ringit (380 baht), fixed prices.

Go to Jims Place on Chulia Street.

Give him all the paperwork passport, working permit and 2 photos and then sign the application.

He will check your papperwork and will tell you if you get 1 year or not.

This will cost you 580 ringit (5800 baht)

Go back to Jim after two days and collect passport and workpermit.

Tou will have good time to catch the 16.00 plane back to Samui.
