  1. Was he not mostly going by information provided by the manufacturers?
  2. That rubber thing Biden wears is not a hat; it is protective gear he has to wear because of his speech impediment.
  3. It's only a gap in the market to old people, young people have no interest in paying for old people they do not know, that is why the state has to compel them to do so. In the US, most all people are insured either though their employer or by the state. In many other countries, people are most all insured by the state. Where is the market? What I would like is inexpensive catastrophic coverage with a US$10K deductible and US$2M coverage, these used to be easy to get but (as I understand it) have been made "illegal", at least in the US. Unfortunately, many people feel cheated if their insurance does not pay more for their coverage than they pay in premiums. They think it's smart to get all the "free" care they can get. It cannot work that way. There are also people who expect a $50 policy to cover the same things a $1,000 policy covers, and moan about exclusions and call the insurance companies greedy cheaters when their uncovers claims are not paid, or when they lie about preexisting conditions. Look at the bright side, we're getting older, a lot of people don't.
  4. How it is the mother or the son acting outside the law?
  5. Imagine wearing a shirt and trousers dressed up
  6. Not sure what you mean by this. Dude was claiming insurance companies were regularly cheating people out of paying claims. I was only pointing out that that had not been my experience, and had nothing to do with premiums. The premium has to go up with the risk or it is not insurance. It is not fair for a heathy 25-year-old to be paying the same rate as a 70 year-old with preexisting conditions.
  7. See? Really smart people all know that wearing a dress makes you a women, and only straight men "date" ladyboys.
  8. Yet you do not name one. I magazine article written AFTER the failure seems pretty weak to me. All materials have plusses and minuses. Steel is like fifty cents a pound, and it's easier to work with, why would anyone not use it if it were better? Do you think that panel could be crushed any flatter?
  9. How does the OP visit his daughter if he does no know where the mother lives? I think the OP should try to make things right with the wife.
  10. In May I tripped in the parking lot of Chula hospital after taking my wife to an appointment. I banged my shoulder and split my forehead open. They took me to emergency. Several x-rays of the shoulder, CT scan of the brain, taped the split, bandages and meds, 14,500.
  11. I do not think anyone is claiming they are smart for buying or not buying insurance, I certainly am not. The insurance I had was great, I used the heck out of it, and I reviewed over twenty years of medical bill for me, my wife and my son. I looked at what I would have to pay to continue my coverage after I retired, and it did not seem like a good bet. It has been a good bet for five years, but clearly that could change.
  12. I was not talking about you and your situation, I was talking about the OPs situation where the kid goes to his mother's, and the OP expects the mother to kick her kid out. What good will come of that?
  13. Yeah, I'm not an alcoholic, I quit every night when the bars close!
  14. At Central I just hang the cord on my back wheel to get good parking.
  15. Maybe go file the police report before you have those beers on the patio.
  16. Why would she be required to send her son home when he comes to visit? Would it not be the responsibility of the custodian to go and get them?
  17. This has not been my experience. All of the insurance companies I have dealt with have been great for my family, and we had quite a lot of expensive medical care, including two knee replacements at Bumrungrad and they paid without a peep.
  18. So how many years has it been since quit?
  19. That's hilarious. So if you think it, that proves it, right? Per your own statements you don't use every day, nor did you use to use every day and quit. Quitting over and over and changing your mind when you decide to get loaded is not quitting. Which I am entitled to. That you think (or pretend to think) you fit either of the categories I mentioned is more of a "tell".
  20. I think if you maintain an account with at least three million baht in Thailand I think you are okay. I pay as I go and spend a lot less on care than I would on insurance. I also have a few credit cards that would cover about B6M more. I generally pay with a credit card, and told my wife that if I die in the hospital pay with the US cards and then don't pay the bill.
  21. So, you don't use it every day, nor did you use to use it every day and quit, so you fit neither of the categories I mentioned.
  22. I do not know why everyone believes carbon fiber is such a bad choice for material. The pictures look like it was crushed completely to me.
  23. You have contempt for your wife, and you are surprised she does not want to talk to you. If he blocks you, quit paying his phone bill.
