DOA, you can not buy the heart and souls of the Palestinians. Trump thinks everyone and everything is for sale.  no future for Palestine without State Hood.  no future for Israel without State Hood for the Palestinians.

I absolutely agree with this statement. The Palestinians want and deserve a nation with sovereign borders so Israel won't keep stealing their land. To simply think that they can be bought off shows exactly how stupid and unaware Trump and his people are.

    Blame the advertisers - $ # 1

Watch Thai TV, there all white & they never sweat, they all have great AC, that's what they aspire too, they think they should be the same as their soap opera starts.

Believe it is similar in the west with people wanting to be like their heroes like the big ass Kardishians or whatever they are called.

Because my Thai wife watches those Thai soap opera I sometimes am trapped into watching them. What I have noticed is that many of the Thai actresses appear to have white faces. This is accomplished with makeup and lighting If you check out their arms and legs you can see they are brown skinned. Some more than others. For myself, I like the brown skinned ladies.

Think about the person he defeated in the election and see if you still want to make that comment. LOTS of dirt to go around in politics.

Even if I allow that Hillary is not above reproach, what has that to do with the Orange One's actions? He is obviously hiding something (plural) or he would just be open. No excuses or subterfuge allowed. Finally, please tell me what crimes Hillary is guilty of? And don't say Benghazi or Uranium One as both have been proven to be non criminal.

No - my experience is quite the opposite, very positive - - we ended up moving there and building a compound with the family... lovely people.

    *** your results may vary..

    what is a mega p***?

I did the same as you and my experience is similar except for one area. I am partial disabled and because of that I am not able to perform the maintenance work around my house. When I tell the person who is doing the work how it should be done I am told I don't know what I am talking about. I try reminding them that I am a mechanical engineer but that just falls on deaf ears. Then I remind them that farangs usually earn more money in a year than they do in their lifetimes - more deaf ears. So I just insist it be done my way or I will pay someone else who will.

  5. I thought it was to make sure you will not be a burden to the Thai government in case you have an emergency.

However, now that they are requiring insurance the 400K should not be a requirement.

Of course, you can get around that 400k by showing a monthly income that satisfies the type of visa you have.

At least that is as I understand things and I have been shown to be wrong a few times in the past.????

  6. When I moved to Thailand at 62 y.o. I checked on insurance and found that being self insured was more logical. I am now 81 y.o. with some health issues and so no insurance company will touch me.
However, I have sufficient funs in bank to cover any health care issues. In fact I recently had a stent inserted and paid for it out of pocket and still have enough to cover more than 400000 (I won't say exactly how much over). Moreover, because I have very good pension money coming in it is growing.

I do not see how I can meet or, for that matter, need to be forced to have insurance that I can't get anyway.

so no problem with the man that takes over democratic power for 5 years and then appoints himself again as PM ....

thailand should stop investing so much money in the army...what country is invading thailand again ?  submarines ?

I can't think of a single case where a military man has become prime minister or president or whatever has been a successful government. They usually wind up being dictators because they are used to just barking orders and having them followed. The lone exclusion might be the USA but even there the administrations of former generals wind up undistinguished. e.g. Grant, Eisenhower and Jackson.
