  1. You need two original medical certificates
  2. If you have a Thai driving license you pay the same as Thais which is often zero.
  3. Renewed my 5 year today in and out in one hour as I was prepared. Did the one hour DLT on line training before hand, Documents required Copies of front and back of existing licence. copy of passport, visa, extension pages. it says copy of lease but they said not needed. Medical certificate from any clinic cost 200Baht Residence letter from immigration. You must go in person to make an appointment, you cannot do online on line. You go back on the day they advise its as simple as that. If you go after your license expires you get 6 years not five.
  4. What I don't get is why discuss something if someone is just supposedly thinking of it. I think of many things but no need to discuss about it until I want to implement it.
  5. Try looking at the Ford Everest, some good deals on used ones. Excellent fuel consumption, full 7 seven seater, lots of safety features and my missus who is 5,5 can drive it with ease. I would not touch a car going for 250k
  6. Medisafe finally responded, much cheaper than Fascino so next time it will be from Medisafe
  7. I tried Medisafe, they didn't respond, anyway all sorted now, many thanks
  8. Thanks for the tip, I got from Fascino.
  9. I have Type 2 diabetes and after being diagnosed in Hua Hin I was prescribed Amaryl. In Hua Hin it has never been a problem to obtain this at pharmacies. Now I am in Pattaya I cannot find anywhere that sells it. Can anyone advise of a pharmacy that sells it.
  10. I never understand why people come on these forums asking such questions. If they are in Thailand just go to immigration or an immigration agent and get a formal answer.
  11. You really hit the nail on the head with your last point. I decided after selling my property that I would not buy again if I cannot be a permanent resident. You could be kicked out of this country at any time and have no call on your property.
  12. It could be a one way road as the double yellow lines are widley spaced which s often the case if there in an central divide coming up.
  13. So 27 people die from covid in one day and the government declares an emerency. Upwards of 60 a day die on the roads and it's just news,
  14. It all depends why you want to buy. 1. If as an investment then do not expect to make much if any profit when you sell. There is a huge property surplus in Thailand so how can your property really increase, unless it is something spectacular. 2. If purchasing to live in it does not matter if the value increases. However I lived in my place for 10 years and sold it for exactly the same as I paid for it, so potentially I lived rent free. Of course I still had to pay for maintenance and upkeep. But I had the pleasure of my own place. 3. If renting you have no guarantee of the rental cost in years to come. The property is never yours so you have limited options to change anything. Plus you are always staying at the whim of the owner.
