  1. Hi, Traveling to S Korea next month and need a PCR certificate taken within 48hrs of my flight. I see different price ranges but just wondering if anyone found a good cheap testing spot that's preferably open on Sundays on Samui? Thanks in advance
  2. Thanks Ryan, I'll keep that in mind for the future but for now looking for travel insurance just incase... Most chances would probably be a motor bike accident but just had a friend get bit by a spider and has been going to the hospital every few days for a month or so to get stitches and treatments.
  3. I currently have a million baht plan and pay about 3,000 baht per month. I bought the 90 day plan for my Thai Pass but it will soon expire. I plan on being here another 30 days so I figured I'd better be safe than sorry. I've done some searching on the internet but haven't had much luck... still waiting for the quotes be returned from the companies that I reached out to. I am 52 years old with no health issues incase it makes a difference and definitely would like to have coverage incase I get into a motor bike accident. Thanks
  4. Just signed up with Lazada last week and had the same problem with my US Chase card. I called and emailed them and just went ahead and uploaded the info they requested, Passport, pic of me with credit card and a statement...I received a confirmation email and now it seems to work fine. I'll do a few more purchases this week and make sure everything's ok. I tried this with Shopee but they said that they're not excepting any international cards as of now... except for a select few.
  5. I wouldn't be surprised. I had to do that once when I forgot to bring my bank passbook from the US. They love to do an excessive amount of paperwork here.
  6. Thanks for the response... I thought the chanoot would be good enough too but at least the lady working that day said I need the blue book. From what I understand, the blue book should be blank since I bought the condo from a foreigner. I saw how people convert their blue book to yellow which looks like a huge pain in the ass. Not sure if not having a blue book would also cause a problem if I want to install my own internet so I figured I'd look into replacing it. I'm not a resident and won't be for a few years but would like to have the utilities in my name incase it helps in the future when I do become a resident.
  7. Hi, did some searching on the internet but couldn't find anything specific to my situation. I purchased a condo in Replay 2 yrs ago but didn't receive the blue book, the owner was in England but I forgot what the excuse was. I was told by the realtor and the lawyer who did the transfer that it wasn't important for the sale. My manager has been paying the electric bill but I found out it is still in the old owners name at the electric company. Now that I'm finally back in Samui, I went to change the name on the account but the lady at the power company said I need the blue book. She didn't speak much English so not sure if I missed anything. My condo manager sent a email to the old owner but haven't heard back yet. Does anyone know if it's possible to replace a lost blue book or if there's something else I should do? Thanks in advance.
  8. I had a 2am flight at BKK in 2019 that made me over stay by a day. I tried to get through immigration before midnight but couldn't get through before 12:30. They pulled me to the side to get a different stamp but it didn't say overstay. They didn't fine me nor did they say anything.
  9. Hi all, wondering if anyone knows of a good scooter rental shop that doesn't keep your passport? I'm looking to do a month or 2 rental and I'm in Bangrak but don't mind traveling to Chaweng or Mae Nam if needed. I usually rent from Sai Books in Chaweng but not sure if they're open or if they give a discount for long term rentals. Thanks
  10. Sorry if this has been covered but I did a search and didn't find anything specific. I entered visa exempt today and I'm wondering if at the end of my 30 days, if I could apply for a 60 day Covid extension? Thanks in advance.
  11. Booked the 6500 baht package with Samui Smile. Includes everything for 2 people and already received the certificate. Again call and email directly and they will email a credit card form to fill out or you can pay with a bank transfer.
  12. I've been looking for the exact same thing all day and trying to understand what's needed. I've been looking at the SHA+ hotels on Booking and Agoda and have just been calling and emailing directly. I spoke with Samui Smile and they said it's 2200 for a PCR test and 200 for Airport Transportation. I'm now waiting to see from her email how to go about sending payment and receiving the certificate. Haven't heard back yet from the other 5 that I emailed but can keep you posted.
  13. Thanks Ubonjoe, Do you think it could be possible to acquire a COE in Denmark when I will only be in Denmark for one week (5 business days)? and if not do you know if it's possible to start the process earlier from the US online? Thanks for your help.. trying to get info from the embassies has been really tough.
  14. Hi, I'm fully vaccinated and would like to enter through Phuket in early December. I have a wedding in Denmark in late November and will be there for 1 week. Is it possible to travel from Denmark or do I need to fly back to the US? The 21 day rule is what's confusing me. Also do I need to be in the US a full 21 days after returning from Denmark? Can I get the COE in the US, fly to Denmark for a week and back to the US and then to Phuket? I tried calling the US embassy but no answer and email replies only said to ask the Denmark embassy. Thanks!
