If true and have no reason not to believe sources (BKK, CM and Issan) then now I know why so few new cases (besides being not counted as virus but as a chest infection).
Same deal as workplace injuries. When the company I used to work for mandated reporting of workplace injuries in its Thai plant, nobody would fess up to them.

Wondering how long it would take to get sick of a diet of fresh fish and coconuts.

Rent don't buy, until you find one you really like and is honest about what she wants. 63? I'd be laying in a lot of KY.
Not a nut, but either a successful troll or very naive.

Speaking of confusion (please dont adress me as your ex wife in our PMs by the way, I know you are confused but it confuses me too) I wonder how confused the writer of the news article is by calling Biden a "moderate".
Well maybe not confusion, maybe just Democratic propaganda from the media allies. Im just confused.
Everything's relative, you'd probably regard yourself as one of Trump's moderates ( good oxymoron BTW ). I'll have to check back on the PM's, I'm confused too.

Dude, ya got less people than a suburb of Topeka. No one cares what your government thinks or does as long as you do what you are told.
Which your .gov is good at, no matter what silly you have for a PM.
It's like your cuisine (sic), you confuse quantity with quality.

Yeah, the Molly Maguires and Ford hunger marchers never did get to love capitalism.
Perhaps we Aussies are a bit more sensible, we let the socialists and capitalists have their turn, then toss them out when they get too full of themselves.

Given the Thai history of not wearing helmets on motorbikes and scooters, with a much higher death toll than coronavirus, permit me to doubt compulsory wearing of masks outdoors is going to get very far.

Depends on what is meant by normal, and which sector of the economy one applies it to.
My guess is six months for reasonably free travel to be restored, two years for economies to recover. All that could change if we have a white swan ( vaccine ) or black swan ( COVID 25 ) event.

Americans won't buy socialism, it's too close to Communism, against which they are conditioned like any Pavlov dog.

There are always options. Just a matter of working out the best one for you.
Right now, it pays to be an introvert. Social distancing is no burden for us, and we have time to think.

200,000 tablets of Favipiravir they will get half a tab each.
Of those 400,000 infected people, probably only 10% will be serious enough to need the therapy. The rest will recover without it. Simple maths and logic, which seems to be in short supply.

1 minute ago, Hank Gunn said:Totally off topic but two other things I enjoyed. On the drive into CM from CR, going past the hot springs, we bought some outstanding avocados at the side of the road. Pretty close to as good as I used to get when I lived in N. Calif. (We get them here in Buriram but the local grown is not too good and the imports from NZ are limited to their seasonality.) I also discovered the local sausage, Sai oowa (?) served with garlic, peanuts and chilis. Wow, delicious. I'm a fan of the Isaan sausages, sai krauw but really liked those sai oowa. Some of those with a cold beer or two in the evening, with a nice dinner. Nice!
You're close. It's sai ua. There's a shop near the gold clock tower in Chiang Rai which specializes in it, Thais drive up from Bangkok to load up with 5 - 10 kilos. Keeps very well, no bacteria can live in it. I usually have it with salad, sweet chili sauce, and a beer.

I know about the superglue family etc and those are very small and I do keep those in the fridge.
The sealants etc were all brand new tubes I bought and put in for "stcok" and all six tubes (3 x 2 different colors) went in the bin, rock solid.
The wood glue was Gorilla brand and in a plastic bottle, the top was sealed off but just went to unusable jelly !
Thailand's heat probably has something to do with shelf life. I usually buy fresh from a store with high turnover, and use immediately.

9 minutes ago, Hank Gunn said:I was up in Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai for a short trip (5 days) in Jan. and really enjoyed it; mostly Chiang Rai but liked both. Stayed at a nice little hotel that was walking distance to that large, outdoor courtyard with the restaurant that had wooden tables/benches and outdoor stage with some musical entertainment. Great food and chill atmosphere. (Sorry, don't know the town well enough.)
Had the airport taxi dud give us a nice tour with another Thai/Farang couple from Buriram we were with, of some of the sites in the area. Started with the tea plantation which was great. The only downside was the air quality (which is also bad down here) and it hindered the views of the mountains that I'd been looking forward to. Hoping to get a motorcycle soon and would like to head up there again to enjoy the beautiful riding roads/scenery.
The Night Bazaar is closed with the coronavirus.
Chiang Rai is a much better launch point for the sights than Chiang Mai, which really has only 3 or 4 tourist attractions. If you come in low season, when the air is clearer, there's lots to see.

Not really. I play golf, swim, go out for coffee ( very good ) and have massages. My GF visits from a village 25 km away. I enjoy pooting around on my scooter looking for new restaurants. A couple nearby have good and inexpensive food. The fruit and vegetable markets in Chiang Rai are ridiculously cheap. Three mangos for 12 baht.
I moved to Chiang Rai from Chiang Mai on March 1. Left a couple of friends back in CM, still stay in touch with them. Have no reason to regret the move, anywhere is what one makes of it. Having lived in Port Hedland during the first iron ore boom ( 1966 ) most places are luxury by comparison.

I have two air purifiers. They are like two six-guns against the PM 2.5 in my condo. I offer up that analogy because I know it will give you a warm glow.

My guess is they will migrate to the bars in Northern Thailand that remain open.

Suvarnabhumi probing case of cleaning staff who collapsed in airport

No better place to get COVID-19 than an airport. Add to which she's cleaning plenty of contaminated surfaces, far more risk than HIV needle stick.
