  1. I am American and I used to live in LA. What a <deleted> hole now. California used to be nice back in the day but now no way. I couldn't survive in the US on my pension that why I moved to Thailand. Every country has there good and bad. They are going to bury/burn me here in Thailand because no way in hell would I move back to the US. Been here 6 years and i'm staying here. I was stationed here for 2 years at Utapao and loved it but Thailand has changed with the times too.
  2. Their is a lawyer across the street from the American Embassy I think his name is David Lam. he got me a NON-O visa without having to leave the country. cost a little bit but saved alot of problems
  3. I read a article here that the test & Go was going to resume the 1st of February. But when I go to the US web site in LA it will not let me sign up for it. I will let me sign up the AQ for 7 days. Does anyone have any info on this
  4. I have been in Thailand the whole time. Thailand is not risky it's your behavior that is risky. get your story straight
  5. There is a law office across the street from the American Embassy called TSL (David Lam) he can fix it without leaving the country. same thing happened to me my first time out because I didn't know about the reentry requirement
  6. I was going through LA customs today on my way back to Thailand. After I walked through the metal detector staff pulled me to the side and wiped my hands with small alcohol pad and put it into a machine. Does anyone know what that is for? I have been flying a lot of years never seen this
  7. I am in a little different boat. I was on disability in the US and when I turned 62yo they made me take early retirement. I was stationed in Thailand for 2 years when I was in the military. So when they forced retirement on me I moved to thailand. I had $80,000 saved and about $1,500 a month I have been living here now for 4 years quite nice on my pension. As long as you stay out of the bars and limit your self to the beautiful women here you will be ok
  8. I am in the US now and returning to Thailand the 2nd week of October. I got my COE through the LA embassy took 3 days no problem so far. I have a re-entry permit 90 days Insurance confirmed flight and a ASQ hotel in Pattaya. Beach Rd and Soi 1 I checked out the hotel before I went to the US and it was not to bad 35,000 baht 15 days all meals pick-up at the airport and 3 PCR tests. This hotel is about 2km from my Condo and the hotel is going to arrainge transpo.

  10. I read a article yesterday that stated that starting the 1st of October there was a plan in place to allow tourist with 2 doses to come to Pataya with out the 2 week quarantine. I am in the US now and returning the middle of October I'm waiting on my COE but having a hard time getting any information

  13. Got my booster 2 days with really no side effects. just felt a little down but thats all. first dose was AZ and the 2nd and 3rd were Pfizer. My doctor and all the staff at MedPark were great coundn't have asked for better care. Now if they will just open the bars I will be OK
